Speaking Assessment Unit 1: “Who am I?

Objective: To assess the present simple to talk about daily routines with

frequency adverbs and present continuous to talk about actions happening

right now orally while being fluent, grammatically accurate and using the

correct pronunciation.

Methodology: In pairs, you will answer some of the questions presented in

the document attached. Each one of you must answer the questions

according to the aspects mentioned in the rubric. You have to prepare all the

topics and possible answers.

Part 1: You will answer all of the questions presented individually.

Part 2: You will talk to your partner about some pictures that will be shown by

your teacher.

Assessment:

●​ Classwork: 40%

●​ Oral exam: 60%

Calendar:

Week April 21st: Forming pairs, providing instructions, showing rubric, and

most importantly, creating a draft of your speech.

Week April 28th: Rehearsing fluency, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary,

etc, and oral presentations.

Week May 5th: Oral presentations.


PART 1: Individual assessment

This part is mandatory in its totality.

Please tell me something about the things you like doing at home, and on

the weekends. Mention three and why.

PART 2: Talking to each other

Now in this part you are going to talk together. You will have to talk about

some pictures. You need to be prepared to talk about any of the two sets

of pictures shown, but you will only be asked for ONE.

Do you like these different places to eat? Why? Why not?

Do you think eating:
