RELATED SCRIPTURES:
7 Last Words
1. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
(Luke 23:34)
Context: As Jesus is being nailed to the cross, He prays for those who are crucifying Him, asking God to forgive them for their ignorance.

invites us to forgive others, as God forgives us.

2. "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

(Luke 23:43)
Context: Jesus speaks these words to one of the thieves crucified beside Him who expressed faith in Jesus, acknowledging Him as the Messiah.
Reflection: Jesus promises salvation to the repentant thief, affirming that even in the final moments, repentance and faith in Him lead to eternal
life. This reflects the immediate grace and mercy of Jesus, available to all, even at the last moment.

3. "Woman, behold your son; son, behold your mother."

victory.

5. "I thirst."
