1. Deficiencies in current market offerings that could be ripe for exploitation
1.3 Mission:
Our mission is to make any event execution the most effortless and easiest for everyone. Our
offering will cover every single aspect of every single event one can imagine off, by ensuring high
quality service at the most reasonable price possible.
1.4 Vision:
Our vision is making EventEase the easiest and most comfortable way to arrange an event, and
putting an end for customers to go back and forth to multiple vendors or event managing
individuals to execute one event.
3
certainly competitive and we do have a lot of direct and indirect competitors and a market with
future possible competitors as well. Even Though the industry is growing and becoming more
expensive every year, the event management industry is not organized at all and as a customer,
one has to run back and forth to multiple vendors and event management personnel, photographers,
and many other individuals to successfully execute an event. To put in simple words, a customer
has to interact with multiple organizers (multiple vendors, photographers, catering services,
decorators, venue managers. etc) for a successful event to be executed. On top of that, finding a
venue is really frustrating as one has to personally visit or get in contact with the venue owners/
authorities one by one until they find a venue suitable and perfect for their event. There is also an
issue of available space at the venue matching the customers favorable time (scheduling issue or
dates clash with some other event taking place at the same venue). So the opportunity gap is that
there is no single platform or event management firm that can take care of all the required elements
of an event starting from booking the venue to organizing all the activities every individual caters
for in a customizable form.
4
couples and their families. To make sure the campaigns are culturally relevant they can focus on
traditional Bangladeshi wedding styles like Bengali, Sylheti, Chattogram and more, and use local
languages. Adding features such as Gaye Holud, Nikah, and customizable celebration themes can
catch the attention of people’s interest. Collaborating with wedding photographers restaurants,
flowers, and clothing stores will help us to promote each other, and start deals like discounts for
the first 100 bookings can get people interested right away.
EventEase is a platform that will be highly conventional for those who are looking for arranging
weddings without having to do much hassle personally. Our website will include two profiles, one
is for the partners and the other one for the customers. The representation of the service concept is
depicted below as flowcharts-

● Partner’s Profile Registration/ Log In: Our partners who are the vendors of various
wedding halls and party centers will register with their email address/phone number and
password for the first time and after that they can log in to update their availability from
time to time.
● Venue Description & Details: Each of the vendors will add their description and details
like the size of the hall, capacity of the venue etc. so that customers can have the idea of
the venue details before choosing.
● Calendar: For every date of each month, a shared yearly calendar will be provided where
the vendors can update their slot availability.
● Slot Update: Vendors will update their availability and there will be two options: empty
slot and occupied slot.
1. Empty Slot: Usually in Bangladesh, weddings happen in two slots; afternoon slot
and night slot. Vendors will verify the available slots as empty slots.
2. Occupied Slot: The already booked slot will be verified as an occupied slot so that
no confusion happens because of the availability among the customers.

option and others can check the event arrangement section if they are willing to take the other
services as well.
● Venue Browsing: After going to the venue option, customers can browse their preferable
venue among our list for their wedding event. We will have contracts with at least 3-4
wedding halls or party centers from every area in Dhaka city for the convenience of the
customers.
● Venue Selection: Among the list of our partners, customers can choose a preferred venue
by looking at the venue description and details. In this case they can only choose those
venues that are empty at their convenient date and time. After selecting them they can
contact us.
● Contact Us: They can contact us through email or phone and they can speak of their
preferred venue to us and for further contact they will have to give us their phone number
and email address.
● Booking Processing: When they will contact us about the selection of the venue, we will
immediately (preferably within one hour) contact the vendor for confirmation. During this
time, customers will see “Booking In Process” on their screen.
● Check Out: After we contact the vendor, we will ensure our customer that booking is
being confirmed and they will need to pay the amount for Booking Confirmation.
● Select Payment Method: At the beginning of our business, we are only going to accept
one method that is a bank transaction for payment because venues charge a huge amount
that is more convenient transferring through banks rather than a mobile banking option.
They can pay us or they can directly pay the vendors.
● Payment Processing: A time period will be given to the customers for payment procedure.
Preferably within 12 hours a customer should be done with the payment. During this
period, our customer will see the option as “Payment In Process” and we will see it as
“Payment Pending”.
● Booking Confirmation: After the payment is done, customers will receive the message
for Booking Confirmation and the venue will be booked for them.
● Package Browsing: Under event arrangements, various packages will be there to guide
the customers, like- photography and catering service together or catering service with
band performance etc.
● Package Selection: There will be a list of three to four packages like Silver, Gold,
Platinum, and customers can select among those offerings. If they are satisfied with our
package, they can directly select the Add To Cart option.
8
● Add On(s): Customers can add their preferences if they are willing to add something more
to the package from the available add on list. For example, they might have a particular
stage decoration they want, other than the options we have included in the selected
package. They can add that to the package as an upgrade from the add ons.
● Add to Cart: After selecting the package they can choose the option Add to Cart and go
to Check Out to see the sum total.
N.B: Select Payment Method, Payment Processing and Booking Confirmation process are all the
same as before. But in this case, they can pay 50% in advance and the remaining 50% after service
is delivered.
Technical Feasibility
The success of the platform relies on a user-friendly website which will give options for easy
service browsing, customization of services, choosing venues based on the consumers preferred
date. Safe and reliable payment gateway, robust backend infrastructure can ensure a smooth
coordination. User experience will be enhanced as well through some advanced features such as
customer reviews, budget filtering and customizable themes.
9
Legal and Regulatory Feasibility
EventEase will follow the e-commerce and taxation laws of Bangladesh which will include the
contract with the vendors and the registration of our business. For the security of our website users,
privacy laws will also be followed so that customers will be at ease to use our platform.
10
Micro level: Target market attractiveness
The wedding market of Bangladesh is pretty well defined and a rising target segment which
basically includes young people and couples who are tech savvy along with people of middle
income who live in big cities in Bangladesh such as Dhaka. People who live abroad and are
returning to Bangladesh for a wedding ceremony and are in need of strong remote planning can
use EventEase. Our platform has a differentiated offering by its one-stop digital solution, which
includes different services such as- venue booking, catering, decorations, photography, wedding
card design and band/music arrangement. Our platform will have some other features such as
pricing transparency, remote accessibility, customization options and digitized card designs.
Families in Bangladesh approximately spend around 5-10+ lakhs BDT on wedding ceremonies,
and the demand is growing in the urban areas mostly in the capital city (Dhaka) due to the peoples
increasing disposable income and widespread use of technology. According to Hossan (2023), in
our country a lot of people now-a-days hold wedding events in restaurants rather than in
community centers. This occurs because people don’t find the right time and date to hold their
wedding events. So, our timeline system will offer them to choose the date and time which will
work best for them. There’s a good probability that customers will avail our proposed offering.
Other than weddings, there’s a potential in other segments such as- birthday celebrations,
destination weddings and recruiting vendors to expand the range of service in different regions.
11
Food waste is reported to occur at wedding ceremonies by approximately 52% of respondents in a
survey (Issue-I, 2019). So, our plan is to collaborate with NGOs that allow foods to be distributed
among those in need. Our revenue will come from service fees as well commission from vendors.
With this approach we want to ensure an efficient and sustainable wedding solution.
Management Prowess
“EventEase” will be committed to revolutionize the wedding ceremony in Dhaka by providing
digitalized service. Prioritizing customer experience the team will give their all in reducing stress
and fulfill customer’s expectation and become the one and only consistent wedding management
service provider in Dhaka. With an open mindset the team will take into account technological
improvements as well as explore different markets. In short, a memorable wedding experience is
all we are aiming for.
Resource Sufficiency
“EventEase” will pull up key non-financial resources to establish a strong background. Firstly, we
will have a skilled team that will comprise wedding planners, event managers, software developers
who will work together to deliver the best possible service. Secondly, partnership with vendors
such as venues, caterers and freelance photographers and musicians will help us offer a one stop
solution. Thirdly, partnering with event influencers will help us create awareness for our startup.
Finally, collaboration with NGOs will help us minimize food wastage and boosting the social
impact of our startup.
12
4.5 Key Findings:
Though there are 1.5-2 million marriages in Bangladesh every year, particularly in Dhaka, the
wedding market is expanding, so it has significant potential for meeting consumers’ daily needs
online for convenient, personalized services. Our platform has advantages including the filters by
the budget, the opportunity to receive customers’ feedback, and secure payments, as well as
services like venue booking, catering, photography, digital invitations, etc. Consequently, its value
is about 1,200 crore BDT and annual growth rate of 6-8% can be expected due to urbanization,
increase of per capita income and digitalization. Marketing to the millennial couples, mid-segment
wage earners and Bangladeshi clients who live abroad, the startup has competitive advantages like
solving problems such as food wastage via the NGO association or ensuring a well-coordinated
vendor relationship to deliver a good service.
Resources are an important part for a company to complete their tasks. This is a critical element
of a company that can be divided into four parts which are: Human Resource, Physical Resource,
Intellectual Resource, and Financial Resource. Every aspect of resources is important but, in some
cases, this depends on the structure or strategy or category of a business or a company. In our case
for being a wedding event management company which is app based in terms of booking an event
for clients we shall use three aspects of resources critically, and every three aspects will be playing
a critical role. For example, our app making will be a mix of intellectual, human, and financial
resources. And besides that, as we will also be managing the wedding event, we will have enough
vendor contracts who will have physical resources that best fit for an wedding event. And it is
obvious that to manage a wedding event we need enormous amounts of physical, financial and
human resources. Here’s a catch, our wedding event management app will also have an option
where a client can customize their demands. If we break it down, we will be offering some
packages from our side through the app, but besides if the client wants to customize their package
or the whole event, they can do it. In that case we will be managing all those demanded resources
from a third party that we have mentioned earlier about the physical resource. Now, let’s break
down all sorts of resources that are needed for wedding event management.
This resource is an essential part of an event. There are many sorts of human resources like event
planner, marketing team, technical staff, support staff etc. If we talk about the event planner first,
we can think of the first attempt of a wedding event, a question comes, which is, ‘how do I plan
this event’? So, basically a wedding planner first of all consults with the client and gets knowledge
about clients’ demands and collects listed data that will be essential for executing the plan and the
13
planner searches for the availability of the demanded resources. Then comes to the support staff
who will be working hand on hand to decorate the whole wedding hall. Talking about the
marketing team who will be conducting the invitation part of the wedding. In that case they will
also consult with the client and get a detailed list of the guests including the guest location, email,
post code, phone number, etc. Then the marketing team will be inviting all the guests. This is a
very little part of a wedding event that can be done by the wedding planner but for some big events
there will be a lot of work for an event planner, at that time a marketing team will be formed.
Finally, event planners are readily available through professional networks, recruitment agencies,
and job portals. Talking about the designers and decorators there are a lot of decoration companies
and a lot of freelance designers. Then if we talk about catering staff there are a lot of high profile
and mid profile catering services that we can hire from locally available catering companies. We
can hire professional photographers and videographers that are available. Logistics teams can be
hired from the companies and freelance workers can also be engaged for setup and transportation.
Finally, customer service representatives can be hired through job portals and recruitment
agencies.
This resource is essential for a wedding event to match a theme or vibe or environment of the
wedding. It gives a much greater ambience in a wedding compared to other typical wedding events.
Besides, our website which is made for customers for planning, booking and giving instructions
to us about how to manage the whole event and what sort of tasks we need to imply for the event.
If we break down the Intellectual Resource, we can see that this is a combination of two resources
which are human and physical. To visualize an innovative design or ambience for the event mainly
comes from a human brain and to make it in formation requires physical resources. So, we will
have loads of designs which will be made by our intellectual employees. Besides, creating
strategies of how to give the event a good form, making checklists to execute the works, and
maintaining guidelines for management. Additionally, we will be offering invitation card designs
made by our employees. We will have the copyright claim for our intellectual resources of our
event themes and invitation card designs. Finally, our event management website will be
developed through our own it team. We will have our design templates available inside the website
and these designers can be found by hiring process.
The very first thing that comes to mind when we listen to financial resources is Capital Investment.
This is an initial funding that can come from personal savings, bank loans or from the investors
that covers the initial expenses like purchasing necessary equipment, hiring employees, renting
office, and marketing. Then we can talk about the revenue that is earned from services. This
income will be generated from our wedding event management and planning, which will include
decoration, catering, fees for coordinators, and from many other services. Talking about loans and
14
credits, this is very important to start a business. When the business pitch and planning is good a
lot of banks give loans to the entrepreneurs. This business loans or we can say credits that we get
from the financial institutions manages cash flow or invest in new opportunities that we can
identify in our business or manage expanding the operations. Then comes the partnerships or/and
sponsorships where a lot of vendors and service providers can act as a partner or a sponsor to
support financially and generate some money. This way we can reduce costs and increase our
revenue. And lastly when a client deposits money for the arrangement of the event from that we
also earn revenues. It is done by covering upfront costs for the event and managing the cash flow
by the deposited money.
One of our unique resources is Event Insurance. Partner with insurance providers package wise to
offer event insurance for unforeseen situations such as food shortage or any issues related to
vendors, building trust with clients. We will offer clients to avail insurance. If they want to avail
the insurance, they will pay a certain amount in advance that will cover the financial part. If the
event goes smooth the amount will be returned and we will take 5-10% as commission for the
backup. Another unique resource that we will be including is the In-House Creative Team. In this
sector we will be providing graphic designers, photographers and videographers, floral designers,
event planners, and content creators. In the graphic designers segment we will be providing printed
materials like albums, and posters. Stunning visuals for invitations, and saving the dates will also
be included. For capturing special moments, candid shots, and formal portraits Photographers and
videographers will be present. To match the wedding theme and design we will be providing floral
designers who will arrange beautiful floral decorations. As our company will have content creators
who will actively create contents or videos for our clients, and not only that they will actively
develop contents for promotional materials to attract potential customers, for blogs and even for
social media by which our marketing specialist will be promoting our services through websites,
social media and in other marketing channels to attract clients.
15
the caterers, leading to the lack of organization and time inefficiencies and time consuming
acts of having to visit the venues, personally deal with each and every vendor.
● Competitors: Our direct competitors include all the event management companies that
provide event services, while our indirect competitors include separate individual vendors
that complete the entire aspects of an event.
● Competitive Gaps: We have figured out some competitive gaps such as a missing
centralized platform that provides all the solutions, and customers have limited options to
design packages or have an easy process.
