BEST COAST PAIRINGS


List submission, check-in, pairings, and score entry for this event will be done using Best Coast
Pairings (BCP). All players must have a BCP account and familiarise themselves with its use.
Players must use the web browser version of BCP not the mobile app.
BEST COAST PAIRINGS

Registration Team captains should register via the Best Coast Pairings.
List Restrictions Legends and understrength units are not permitted.
Rules Cutoff Refer to Facebook/BCP event.
New codexes without an FAQ published by the cut-off date will not be allowed
unless as advised by the T.O
FAQs GW FAQ’s will be used for this event, rules for charging through ruins and
additional clarifications will be drawn from WTC FAQ’s
List Submission Refer to Facebook/BCP Event
Modelling Armies should be WYSIWIG and any 3rd party miniatures, 3D prints, or
conversions should be of high quality and be easily identifiable as the miniatures
they are being used to represent. If the T.O or judges determine that a miniature
does not meet an acceptable standard it will be removed on the day.
What to Bring Players should bring photo ID, pens, tape measure, dice, objective markers, and a
digital or hard copy of their army rules. It is recommended that players also bring
a chess clock. Each team should have a set of pairings cards.

TEAM COMPOSITION
Each of the factions below may only be used in one list per team:

ROUND AND GAME PAIRINGS


Round pairings will be randomly determined for the first round of the tournament and then follow a Swiss
pairings process for the following rounds (i.e. pairing by win/loss then by score).
Game pairings will follow the process below:
Each team will have 6 cards representing the armies on their team:
1. Both teams put out 1 of their cards face down as a “defender”, these are then revealed
2. Both teams put out 2 of their remaining cards face down as “attackers” against the opposing team's defender,
these are then revealed
3. Each team takes their 2 opposing attacker cards and selects 1 of those attackers for their defender to play
against, placing their choice face down next to their own defender. These two defender/attacker pairs are then
revealed as the first and second game pairings
4. Teams roll off with the winner (Team A) getting the first table pick for their defender to play on followed by
the loser (Team B) and the refused attackers are returned to their respective teams
5. Repeat steps 1-4 to determine the third and fourth game pairings but with Team B getting the first table pick
for their defender followed by Team A
6. The refused attackers from step 5 will be paired together as the fifth game pairing with Team A getting the
table pick. The remaining 2 cards will form the sixth game pairing and will play on the only unpicked table

Table Pick Order (The winner of the roll off is Team “A”): A – B – B – A – A – remaining table

GAME SCORING
Teams events use a differential scoring system, to determine the Game Points scored by each player in each
game, subtract the loser's Victory Points from the winner's Victory Points.

RULES QUERIES AND SPORTSMANSHIP


All initial rules queries are to be handled by the captains, they are to check relevant FAQ and Errata
and come to an agreeable solution. If you cannot find a solution then the captain and captain only can
consult with a T.O (this includes pre-event rules queries).
To ensure a swift resolution of rules queries, captains are to have all rules and FAQ at the ready to
present their question. T.O's rulings are final and continued argument will result in a yellow card.
The T.O may be required to intervene and issue a series of cards whether they be warnings in the form
of yellow cards or disqualifications in the form of red. Players will be made aware of what is issued and
why. This is to ensure that everyone involved is permitted to have an enjoyable and safe experience.
The issuing of cards is not to be argued with and may result in eviction from the current event and
future events.
In the case of dice or slow play disputes, players may be required to use dice or chess clocks provided
by the T.O.
Players will conduct themselves with the utmost respect to themselves, others, venue facilities, staff
and all the gaming equipment. Failure to do so will result in the removal from the event.

PAINTING STANDARD
The painting standard at this event will be determined using the rubric below. Players must score at
least 15 points to qualify for their 10VP Battle Ready score
BUILDING

Mould lines and sprue nubs removed (1 point)

Models are assembled neatly with no large gaps (1 point)

Bases have sand, flock, or texture (1 point)

Bases have additional details added (1 point)

Custom or scratch built bases (1 point)

Army contains conversions (1 point, 1 additional point for 7 or more)

PAINTING

All models are fully painted with at least 3 colours not including undercoat (1 point)

Details stand out e.g. eyes, belts, ammo pouches (1 point)

Bases are painted (2 points)

Basic shading e.g. washes, contrast (1 point)

Models are neatly painted (2 points)

Character models stand out from basic troops (1 point)

All models have a cohesive colour scheme or are tied together in some way (1 point)

Models are painted to the same standard excepting character or centrepiece models (1 point)

Unit markings distinguish different squads from the tabletop level (2 points)

ADVANCED

Weathering, chipping, or battlefield effects (up to 3 points)

Advanced highlighting e.g blending (2 points)

Freehand details (1 point)

Advanced techniques such as non-metallic metals (1 point)

Lighting effects including plasma glow, object source lighting (1 point)

Anything extra that deserves additional merit e.g display boards (2 points)
