In my role as a Medical Officer (SHO level) in the ED, I am responsible for providing acute care to
patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies. I also did an Audit on “Timely Giving
Sepsis-6 protocols in Septic Patients.” My key responsibilities here include:
 Conducting thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
 Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to determine the appropriate treatment plans.
 Managing acute medical, surgical, and trauma cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
 Performing a variety of emergency procedures such as central line insertions, nerve blocks and
chest tube placements.
 Ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide
high-quality care.
 Participating in departmental audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives to
enhance patient safety and outcomes.
 Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff and medical students to support their

In Medical ward my standard duties and responsibilities include, as directed by the Consultant

 Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of medical care to patients;


 Diagnose and treat patients;
 Ensure that duties and functions are undertaken in a manner that prioritises the safety and
wellbeing of patients;
 Assess patients on admission and/or discharge as required and write detailed reports in the case
notes;

I specialized in the Gynecology and Obstetrics department. My role involved comprehensive patient
care, ranging from outpatient assessments and prescription management to active participation in
inpatient settings, including surgical procedures such as cesarean sections. Through my commitment
to thorough assessments, precise documentation, and collaboration with senior healthcare
professionals, I ensured the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.
