Bachelor of Science Honours 5’O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and a Science 4 years
Degree in Food Science and subject; and at least 2 ‘A’ Level passes in either Biology, Agriculture, Food Conventional/Block
Agricultural Processing Science or Chemistry and any of the following subjects; Mathematics, release

Diploma in Agribusiness Applicants must have passed a minimum of five (5) subjects at Ordinary 1 ½ years

Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), awarded by a

Mature Entry: 5 ‘O’ level passes including English language and at least 5
years’ experience in the area of Peace. Candidates must be at least 25
years old.
Postgraduate Diploma in Candidates should normally hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree from this or 1 year
Geographic Information another recognised institution. Relevant fields include, Geography, Block Release
Science and Remote Sensing Environmental Science, Surveying, Engineering, Ecology, Development
Studies, Agriculture, Rural and Urban Planning.
Diploma In Geographic Normal Entry 1 ½ years
Information Science (GIS ) and 5 ‘O’ Level passes including Mathematics, English Language, Geography Block Release
Remote Sensing and any Science subject. A Certificate OR Diploma in any field related to
Geography, Environmental Science or Ecology.
Bachelor of Science Honours Normal Entry: Candidates must have obtained 5 ‘O’ Level passes including 4 years
Degree in Development Geography, English Language and Mathematics passed with at least a Conventional/Block
Studies grade C and two passes in ‘A’ Level subjects or their recognized Release
equivalents;
Special Entry: A candidate must have obtained a Diploma in Development
related discipline or a recognizable relevant qualification from acceptable
institution in which development and/or geosciences issues were
involved.
Mature Entry: A candidate must have 25years of age with relevant
working experience and have passed 5 ‘O’ level subjects including
Geography, English Language and Mathematics passed with at least a
grade C. Must also have relevant experience for at least two years. May be
required to pass a written/ oral entrance examination set by the
University.

Bachelor of Science Normal Entry: Candidates must have passed 5 subjects at Ordinary level, 4 years
Honours Degree in including English language with at least a C grade or better. Conventional/Block
Anthropology Release
Candidates must have passed at least two subjects at Advanced level.
One of the subjects should preferably be Geography, History, Language
(any), Sociology, Geography, English literature and Agriculture.
Special Entry: Candidates must have a Diploma from this university or a
recognised institution.
Bachelor of Science Honours Normal Entry: At least five (5) ‘O’ levels/ National 4 years
Degree in Sociology Foundation Certificates including English Language with Conventional/Block
Grade C or better and at least two (2) Advanced level Release
passes in Arts, Humanities or Commercials OR Relevant
National Certificate.
Special Entry: A candidate who does not meet normal
entry requirements may be admitted into a programme
provided the candidate has a qualification in line with
Zimbabwe National Qualification Framework (ZNQF).
Mature Entry: Mature entry shall be obtained by applicants who have five
(5) ‘O’ levels including English Language and have demonstrable work
experience during the last five years before the academic year in which
admission is sought, and are aged 25 years and above.
Bachelor of Science Honours 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Geography and 4 years
Degree in Urban and Regional Mathematics; and at least 2 ‘A’ Level passes including Geography; OR A Conventional/Block
Planning Diploma preferably majoring in urban planning, urban management, social Release
work, local authority administration, housing development, real estate
and property management, physical planning, land management,
environmental management, project and programme management among
others.
Bachelor of Education Honours 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language; and Mathematics. A Diploma 3 years
Degree in Agriculture in Agriculture OR a Diploma Education in which Agriculture is a major Block Release
subject obtained from a recognized institution; or Relevant Working
experience would be an added advantage.
NB: Those without ‘O’ level Mathematics would be required to pass a
bridging course before the beginning of the first semester.
Bachelor of Education Degree 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics; and 3 years
in Geography A Diploma in Education with a specialisation in Geography. Block Release
Normally, an applicant should have 2 years post qualification teaching
experience.
Bachelor of Education 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English; and 3 years

Master of Science (MSc) Degree Candidates should possess a good first degree in Accounting and Finance, 2 years

equivalent. Working experience would be an advantage.
