N° TERM DEFINITION
1 CO2 emissions Means the release of CO2 into the atmosphere by ships.
2 Port of call Means only the port where a ship stops to load or unload cargo.
3 Voyage Means any movement of a ship that originates from or terminates in a port
of call and that serves the purpose of transporting cargo for commercial
purposes.
4 Company Means the Ship-owner.
5 Verifier Means a legal entity carrying out verification activities which is accredited
by a national accreditation body.
6 Verification Means the activities carried out by a verifier to assess the conformity of
the documents transmitted by the company.
7 Document of Means a document specific to a ship, issued to a company by a verifier,
Compliance which confirms that the ship has complied with the requirements of this
regulation for a specific reporting period.
8 Reporting period Means one calendar year during which CO2 emissions have to be
monitored and reported.
9 Ice Class Means the notation assigned to the ship by the competent authorities,
showing that the ship has been designed for navigation in sea-ice
conditions.
10 DP Person ashore having direct access to the highest level of management.
The responsibility and authority of DP should include monitoring the
safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation of each ship.

A. PURPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that:
All seafarers employed by HYPROC S.C are aware of EU MRV Regulation 2015/757.
The EU MRV Regulation requirements regarding CO2 emissions monitoring and reporting
are clearly defined.
B. SCOPE:
This procedure applies to all staff employed by HYPROC S.C (Both Office Managers & Vessel
Crew).
C. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The DP, in cooperation with the Master, is responsible for the proper implementation of this
procedure.

1. INTRODUCTION:
This regulation lays down rules for the accurate monitoring, reporting and verification of carbon
dioxide (CO2) emissions and of other relevant information from ships arriving at, within or
departing from ports under the jurisdiction of a Member State, in order to promote the reduction
of CO2 emissions from maritime transport in a cost effective manner.
This regulation should enter into force on 1st July 2015 to ensure that the member states and
relevant stakeholders have sufficient time to take the necessary measures for the effective
application of this regulation before the first reporting period starting of 1 st January 2018.
1.1 APPLICABILITY:
This regulation applies to ships above 5 000 gross tonnage in respect of CO2 emissions
released during their voyages from their last port of call to a port of call under the jurisdiction of
a Member State and from a port of call under the jurisdiction of a Member State to their next
port of call, as well as within ports of call under the jurisdiction of a Member State.
By 31 August 2017, the monitoring plan shall be submitted to the Verifiers for approval.

D.1.3 Regular cross-checks between bunkering quantity as provided by BDN and bunkering
quantity indicated by on- board measurement:
The density mentioned on the Bunker Delivery Note (BDN) shall be considered.

At the end of each voyage to, or from European Union ports, the master must fill in the form “FRM-
TEC-0290” and send it to the Fleet Management Division who will record, compile, analyze and
document monitoring data of CO2 emissions and various data such as distance, time spent at sea…etc.
From 2019, by 30 April of each year, the company shall submit to the commission and to the authorities
of the flag state, an emission report concerning the CO2 emissions and other relevant information for the
entire reporting period of the ship, which has been verified as satisfactory by the verifier.
The emissions report shall be submitted using automated systems and data exchange formats,
including electronic templates, which means shall be determined later by the Commission.
Anyway, the form “FRM-TEC-0300” must be used as emission report model, properly filled by the Fleet
Management Division.
