Dinosaur biology is largely reconstructed through speculative methods due to the lack of direct observation. High-quality skeletons allow for deductions about their form and function, while bone contexts provide insights into their social behavior and habitats. Despite uncertainties, correlations with modern species suggest rapid growth in dinosaurs based on their bone tissues.

The majority of dinosaur biology cannot be directly observed; instead, it must be rebuilt using a number of

frequently speculative methods. If high quality dinosaur skeleton material is available, the overall body form can
be determined. It is possible to make deductions about how the animal's skeleton operated as a living machine
and to interpret the soft components of the animal from a skeletal reconstruction. Observations of the
preservational contexts of bones, nesting sites, and trackways are used to draw conclusions about the sociality
and habitat preferences of dinosaurs. Although there is a great deal of doubt in this interpretation, several
aspects of dinosaur biology are based on the correlations between body size and physiological and ecological
characteristics in contemporary species. The primary tissues found in dinosaur bones indicate that dinosaurs
grew quickly.
