7. Read the following passage carefully and answer the question that follows.

My name is Mwema, a pupils at Majengo primary school which is found at Kiruruma village. Last month, I
visited my grandmother at the village called Nyakahura. Our bus left Biharamulo bus stand at 7:00am. We
arrived at Nyakahura bus stand eleven hours later; My uncle’s children Mary and Denis came to pick me up
from the bus stop and took me home.

Although it was a very long journey, I enjoyed seeing wild animals on the way. I saw animals such as lions,
Impalas, Zebras and giraffes; I was very excited to see a lion beside the road. My grandmother was very happy
to see me because we had not met for a long time.

During the whole time at my grandmother’s place, I enjoyed looking after the animals she keeps daily, she
keeps cows, goats and sheep. I also enjoyed listening to the stories she used to tell us in the evening about her
lovely village.

READING SKILLS
My best friend Samwel was selected to join Form one at Juhudi
secondary school which is in Iloloma village. However he did not
join the school for three months because he did not have a school
uniform. One day, he visited the English teacher at Umoja Primary
school so he could tell him his problem. The teacher agreed to buy
him the school uniform he needed in order that he could start
school. Samwel thanked his former teacher for helping him.
