time to insert them. I recommend to insert the

eyes between 18th and 19th rows, the space be-

tween them is 10 sc.

Crochet all rows for the back loops with the red thread in back-and-forth rows. Make chain 32 ch and in-

sert the hook in the 3rd loop from the hook:

Crochet 1 row of sc around the perimeter of the emblem, in the corners of the detail crochet one increase.

Cut the thread, fasten off, hide the end. Embroider the red line around the perimeter of the emblem (I

used Alize Cotton Gold №56, 2 threads of 4). After that, embroider the letter «S» in the same way.

ASSEMBLY AND DECORATIONS

Sew the head to the body (photo 18, 19, 20). In the course of sewing stuff the neck very tightly, so

as the head doesn’t dangle because of its heaviness.

If you haven't used the eyes with stalks, it’s time to glue them. I use eyes with stulks, but glue them.

I like it better this way, because the plug doesn’t interfere with the design of the face in the future, and a

thread “doesn’t run” under the glued eye.

Firstly mark the points 1 and 2 between the 18th and 19th rows of the head (the space between points

is 10 sc (photo 21)). Now take a thick knitting needle or something similar (I use knitting needle No5.5 (5.5

mm)) and start to gradually expand the crocheted fabric at these points (photo 22).

Now take glue and drip inside the resulting hole. Also, lubricate the inner surface of the eye with

glue. Insert the eyes there and press on them, wait a couple of minutes (photo 23).

11
Can proceed to the design of the face (photo 24). Embroider the whites of the eyes with a white

thread (I used whole thread Yarn Art Jeans №62). Embroider the nose with a flesh thread (I used a whole

thread Alize Cotton Gold, the same as when crocheting the head) between the 20th and 21st rows of the

head, the width of the nose is 3 sc. Embroider the cheeks with a red thread (I used Alize Cotton Gold №56,

2 threads of 4) between the 21st and 22nd rows, the width of the cheek is 2 sc. Embroider the mouth and

brows with a black sewing thread (2 threads).

Arrange the hair so that the bangs are placed, as shown at the photo 25, 26 and sew.

The left (looking at the back of the head) edge of the panties turned out to be uneven on both sides.

In order to "smooth" this edge, I propose to arrange it as shown in (photo 27, 28).

Sew the arms between the 28th and 29th rows of the body (photo 29, 30). I recommend first steam-

ing them.

12
Sew the cloak to the last row of the body

Glue or sew the emblem to superman's chest (я glue).

13
Superman is ready!

I hope it will bring a lot of joy to little (and maybe not so much) DC fans!

Crochet the belt with a yellow thread. To do this, make chain 54 ch and sl st to join in the end. Make

2 ch and crochet 54 hdc (1 hdc in each loop), sl st to join in the end. Cut a thread, leaving a long end for sew-

ing.

Sew the belt to the body between the 10th and 12th rows.

15
Sew the mask. I recommend you firstly mark with pins where the edges of the mask should be locat-

ed. Sew the bottom of the mask as it’s shown at the photo . After that, sew the mask along the entire inner

border in the same way.

16
Sew the ears to the mask (I sew to the mask only, don't touch the head) between the 10th and 11th

rows on the sides symmetrically to each other. Sew the ears in the same way as the arms.

Sew the cape to the last row of the body as it’s shown at the photo

17
It’s left to make the badge. Make chain 6 ch with yellow thread, insert the hook in the 2nd loop from

the hook and crochet according to the scheme:

1 rnd: 4 sc, 3 sc in the last loop of the chain, further crochet on the other side of the chain 3 sc, inc (12)

2 rnd: inc, 3 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc, 2 inc (18)

3 rnd: 18 sl st

Cut a thread, fasten off, hide the end.

Embroider the bat on the badge with a black thread (I use a whole thread Alize Cotton Gold). Sew or

glue the badge to the body (I glue).

Batman is ready!

I hope he will bring a lot of joy to little (and maybe not so much) DC fans!
