GUIDE FOR PRAYER AND FASTING

This year is the year of transformation (Romans 12:1-2).


Please bring your Guitarist, Bible, Notebook and Ballpen
Please memorize the verses used in the reflection during the night.

Day 01: January 03, 2025 (Friday)


07:00am-08:00am – Praise and Worship
08:00am-08:15am – Exhortation/Sharing about fasting (pastor)
08:15am-09:00am – Sharing of expectations on this 3-day fasting
09:00am-10:00am – Prayer for the expectations on this 3-day fasting
10:00am-11:00am – Personal reflection (individually)

Romans 12:1-2 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies
as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform
any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.

1. Since this year is the year of transformation for GS Ministry, what do you mean by
transforming our mind in relation to church growth?
2. Identify some attitude/ activities that need improvement.
3. Do you believe that you can double your attendance this year?
4. Enumerate everything that you think will help double your membership this 2025.

1. What do you mean by the phrase “a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies”?
2. Is self-denial a problem? In what way?
3. The ministry is growing very slow or not at all. Why?
4. Enumerate areas that need self-denial.

Matthew 11:12 (NIV) from the days of John the baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been
forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

1. What do you mean by “forceful”? Are you forceful? Identify the characteristics and attributes
of a forceful leader.
2. What is the opposite of forcefulness? Enumerate the attitudes of unforcefulness/unforceful
people.
3. Evaluate the church growth of the fellowship in relation to forcefulness.
4. How can you contribute to church growth?

Acts 2:42-47 they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the
breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and
miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything
in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day
they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate
together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And
the lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

1. Enumerate all the factors for daily church growth.


2. Identify what is lacking and the factors that needs improvement in the church you are
handling.
3. What are your plans regarding these factors?

01:00pm-01:45pm – Praise and Worship
01:45pm-02:45pm – Reflection (individually)

Acts 5:42 (NIV) day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never
stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

1. The key to church growth as reflected in this verse is a daily priority on ministry work such as
doing ministry in the church and house to house meeting (Simbalay), teaching or bible study,
and sharing the gospel. Are you doing this or not, on a daily basis? What are the reasons why
we cannot do it?
2. According to one of the renowned man of god, a person that does not win soul and disciple
them is a backslider. Will you agree with this?
3. Simbalay is formed when you challenge friends for a family bible study, or your bible study
member is being challenged to hold a bible study in their houses together with their
neighbors. Those who will arise will be chosen as one of your E12 member and leaders. The
more Simbalay, the more leaders will arise and will invade their clans or workplaces. Will
you challenge yourself to do it?
4. If you can raise 12 leader of leaders and they will have 12 also, then the church will explode.
Are you willing to give your best?
