following order: C3, C4, C2 then C1.

For procedures and provisions of loading, unloading and securing the load in the aircraft refer to GHM
(Ground Handling Manual)/Section 8 - Baggage Loading in Comply365.

7.4 LAST MINUTE CHANGES (LMC)

ON A/C ALL

Section Replaced by Temporary Revision

‘LAST MINUTE CHANGES’ (LMC) provide a means of entering late alterations to the load/passengers
or fuel state or DOW/DOI without requiring a complete re-calculation and re-issue of the load and trim
sheet.

LMC SUMMARY

LMC can be either:

• Adding/removing/shifting PAX/BAG, or
• Adding/removing fuel, or
• Changing DOW/DOI

Combined LMC of the above items is not allowed

FOB = planned ±150 kg needs no LMC

Max LMC is 600 kg (absolute change)

After LMC:

• LMC must be recorded on the load sheet

• New weights must be compared against limiting weights
• New CG is assured to be within CG envelope:

- By load controller in case of EDP load sheet

- By 4% CG buffer zone in case of MANUAL load sheet

LMC PROCEDURE

Before any LMC

Manual load sheet:

REVISION 1.1 - 04 OCT 2022

Operations Manual Part B
LOADING Chapter 7

Page 3

The Commander has to check the position of the CG before any LMC

• If the CG is within 4% to the aft or forward limit, LMC is not allowed!

• This safety margin is to accommodate the effect of LMCs on the CG

EDP load sheet:

Preliminary check of the CG is not required

• The actual CG position after LMC will be checked and confirmed to be safe by the load controller

LMC on load sheet

The number/weight of excess cabin baggage, excess baggage and the number of cargo compartment
it was loaded to must be recorded on the load sheet.
LMC can be either adding/removing/shifting BAG/PAX or adding/removing FUEL or changing
DOW/DOI

BAG/PAX LMC

• Can be made by both the flight crew or by the load controller

• Any dead-head crew occupying a passenger seat must be counted on the load sheet as a
passenger

FUEL LMC

• Can only be made by the flight crew

• Only for EDP load sheet:

- New fuel figures shall be communicated to the handling agent for CG check

DOW/DOI LMC

• Can only be made by the flight crew

• Max crew composition is:

- 3/6 for the A321

• Any dead-head crew occupying a passenger seat must be counted on the load sheet as a
passenger

Limitations
Max allowance for any LMC is 600 kg (absolute change) for the A321
Placing 200 kg from COMP 1 to COMP 3 is

• 200 + 200 = 400 kg absolute change

• -200 + 200 = 0 kg total change

Combined LMC is not allowed! (If combined, request a new load sheet)

If FOB differs from planned RAMP FUEL by more than ±150kgs: only FUEL LMC is allowed

REVISION 1.1 - 04 OCT 2022

Operations Manual Part B
LOADING Chapter 7

Page 4

• Where planned RAMP FUEL is the FOB on stand (or “block fuel”) as it has been used for the
calculation of the load sheet
• A difference of less than 150kgs does not need to be considered as a fuel LMC

Only for EDP load sheet

• maxLMC ≤ underload before LMC

After LMC on load sheet

Make sure that the followings are recorded for any LMC

• Type of LMC items (BAG/PAX/FUEL/CREW)

• For BAG LMC items only: location (nr. of COMP)
• For PAX and FUEL LMC items the most critical positions have been considered
• Weight of LMC
• Nature of LMC (+/-)
• Total LMC

Cross-check updated MCDU INIT B and limiting weights

The new take-off, landing and zero fuel weights must be cross-checked against limiting weights by
flight crew (from pedestal placard, or alternatively from OFP)
Verify, that new CG position after LMC is within operational limits (new CG does not have to be shown
on the original load sheet):

EDP load sheet:

• CG position after LMC is checked by load controller

• A note “LMC IS NOT BALANCED” is made by handling agent meaning, that CG after LMC is not
recorded on the load sheet

Manual load sheet:

• If the CG was not within the 4% LMC buffer zone before the LMC, the CG is safe and not required
to be checked

EXAMPLES

Moving 200kg of bags from hold 3 to hold 1

• Hold 3: -200 kgs, hold 1: +200 kgs

• Total LMC = 0 kgs
• Absolute change = 400kg >> LMC is below limit
• LMC is allowed

Moving 5 male passengers from cabin area OA to OC

• Cabin area OA: -440 kgs, cabin area OC: +440 kgs
• Total LMC = 0 kgs
• Absolute change = 880kg >> LMC is above limit
• LMC is not allowed

Minus 3 males (-264 kg), minus 3 bags (-39 kg), plus 2 females (+140 kg)

• Total LMC = +140 – 264 – 39 = 163 kg

• Absolute change = 443 kg >> LMC is below limit

• LMC is not allowed>> request a new load sheet

Planned FOB is 10.000 kg, FOB after refueling is 10.140 kg

• Is not considered as a fuel LMC, original load sheet can be used

• Pax/Bag or DOW/DOI LMC allowed

Planned FOB is 10.000 kg, FOB after refueling is 10.140 kg + 4 males PAX (+352 kg)

• Total LMC = +352 kg

• Absolute change = 352 kg >> LMC is below limit
• LMC is allowed

Planned FOB is 10.000 kg, 10.500 is decided during refueling due to WX, FOB after refueling is
10.540 kg no other changes

• LMC is allowed

Planned FOB is 10.000 kg, 10.500 is decided during refueling due to WX, 4 males (352 kg)

• Total LMC = +500 – 352 = 148 kg

• Absolute change = 500 kg+ 352 kg = 852 kg>> Combined LMC and LMC exceeds limit
• LMC is not allowed>> request a new load sheet

7.7.4 LAST MINUTE CHANGES (LMC)

ON A/C ALL
ELECTRONIC LOAD SHEET (AVIOBOOK)
LMC procedures don't apply to electronic load sheets. In case of changes to the preliminary load/
passengers, fuel state or DOW/DOI:

• Read-only load sheet: new data will be sent electronically by local ground handling to the loadsheet
provider, who will instantly prepare and send the revised load sheet to AvioBook W&B module of the
EFB devices.
• Manual load sheet: Pilots will be able to instantly calculate and submit a new load sheet based on
actual load/passenger/fuel/DOW/DOI values.
