HOW TO
PERFORM MAGIC!
With the recent launch of what has been described by
top performers as one of the best books ever written on
magic: Performing Magic by Tony Middleton, we decided
to find out more. We kidnapped the author, flew him to a
secret location overseas and forced the following
information out of him - almost without the use of illegal
methods. This is what he had to say...

THE MASTERCLASS AWARD 2011 - THE WINNER!

Well, it’s been fascinating seeing what types of tricks our readers have enjoyed learning in the Volume 7 Masterclass, and the
voting by readers has been added to a straw poll taken round the Magicseen office, with the result that we have a winner - just!
There was only one vote in it, but the winner for his effect The Sugar Routine is Dave Bonsall. Congratulations to Dave who will

MIND HEIST
JC SUM & NING’S ULTIMATE EXPERIMENT!!
Over the last 5 years more than 100 million people have seen JC & Ning’s magic on
television with appearances on over 25 shows internationally. They are also the first
ever Singapore artistes to be booked to perform on the famed long-running TV show,
Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde, that aired on 31 Dec 2011.

On 7 Jan 2012, JC & Ning successfully

set a new world record for reading 100
minds in 1 sitting. Entitled, ‘The Mind
Heist’, it was touted as ‘the ultimate
social magic experiment’.

The never-been-done-before feat was

adjudicated by Singapore Book of
Records (SBOR) & International
Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM)
Singapore Ring 115. The magic duo
successfully completed the task with
100% accuracy; only a harrowing 9

of 59 minutes 51 seconds.

were presented with the award certificate

were also so honoured and humbled to
receive the first ever “Patrons of Magic”

After the awards presentation, the live

Meeting our fans and friends is really the
