ORDER:
In the reference 4th read above, the Commissioner of Panchayt Raj and
Rural Development has submitted a proposal to amendments to A.P.
Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Service Rules, 2001 for restructuring the
PR&RD service integrating various equivalent services duly upgrading the post
of District Panchayat Officer and Principal of Extension Training Centres within
the department to avoid too many verticals in seniority and to simplify and
rationalize it to reduce duplication of cadres and to provide proper career
prospects and more effective delivery of services to the rural people.
2. Government after careful examination of the proposal, inter alia, have
decided that the posts of District Panchayat Officer which is in the pay scale
Rs.57,100 – 1,47,760 be upgraded to that of DDO/Dy.CEO of ZP in the scale
pay of Rs.65,360-1,54,980 (Revised pay scales, 2022) and the posts of
Principal of Extension Training Centre which is in the pay scale of Rs. 80,910-
1,66,680 be upgraded to that of Deputy Commissioner of PR (Addl. Director
Cadre) in the pay scale of Rs. 94500-170580 (Revised Pay scales, 2022).
3. Accordingly, Government hereby accord sanction for up-gradation of
the post of District Panchayat Officer which is in the pay scale of Rs.57,100 –
1,47,760 to that of DDO/Dy.CEO of ZP in the scale of pay of Rs.65,360-
1,54,980 (Revised pay scales, 2022) and posts of Principal of Extension
Training Centre which is in the pay scale of Rs. 80,910-1,66,680 to that of
Deputy Commissioner of PR (Addl. Director Cadre) in the pay scale of Rs.
94,500 -1,70,580(Revised Pay scales, 2022)
4. The Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Andhra
Pradesh is requested to take further necessary action in the matter.
5. This orders is issued with the concurrence of the Finance
Department vide their Finance.U.O.Note.No.FIN01-HR0PDPP(TRPO)/32/
2025-HR-II(2716017), Dated:26.04.2025.
