Sabyasachi is one of India’s most celebrated fashion designers,

launched his label, Sabyasachi, in 1999, and quickly rose to

for her role in reviving traditional Indian textiles and crafts.
Born in 1944 in Amritsar, Punjab, she pursued her education
at Lady Irwin College in Delhi and later studied Art History at
Briarcliff College in New York. Upon returning to India, she
furthered her studies in museology at the University of
Calcutta.
