G8 Criterion Dii Development as an artist.

Objective: This reflection task is designed to encourage you to evaluate your progress as an
artist over the course of this unit. You will analyze your artistic process, compare it to your
previous work and consider how this experience will influence your future artistic endeavors.
You will also reflect on your evolving skill set, creativity, and attitude towards art. Use specific
examples from your work to support your reflections. Be honest about your challenges, progress,
and areas for improvement. Your evaluation should showcase a deep understanding of your
artistic growth.

Do NOT write the questions. You can use sub-headings for paragraph headings if you wish. It is
split into 4 main aspects. Minimum x 1 slide with 4 paragraphs. Or on paper, written format
minimum 500 words, or as a mind map, choose your style of preference.

1. Process & Artistic Journey


o How did you develop your artwork throughout the unit?
o What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?
o How did you incorporate feedback into your work?
2. Skill Development & Techniques
o What artistic skills and techniques have you developed or improved?
o How have you demonstrated an understanding of different materials, tools, or
artistic methods?
o How does your final artwork reflect technical growth?
3. Creativity & Concept Development
o How did you generate and refine your ideas?
o How did your work demonstrate originality and personal expression?
o In what ways did you take creative risks?
4. Use of the Process Journal
o How well did you document your progress, ideas, and experimentation?
o Did you include research, reflections, sketches, and progress photos?
o How did your Process Journal help you make informed artistic decisions?

Are any of your responses new ? eg, did you generate ideas in a new way? What was
this new way/approach? Why did you try this and how helpful was it?
