RECIPE: SPAGHETTI WIT MEATBALLS
Ingredients:
For the meatballs:
2 pound of ground beef.
¼ cup breadcrumbs + 2 extra tablespoons.
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
¼ cup chopped onion.
1 clove of crushed garlic.
1 egg.
1 teaspoon salt.
Ground black pepper to taste.
1 tablespoon oil.
For the sauce:
3/4 cup chopped onion.
4 cloves of crushed garlic.
2 15oz cans tomato sauce.
2 bay leaves.
1 teaspoon chicken broth with tomato powder.
Spices to taste (I used dried basil, thyme and oregano).
For the pasta:
250 grams of spaghetti.
Enough water to cook the pasta.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1-Mix the first 8 meatball ingredients very well. Form the meatballs by taking a
little of the mixture and forming balls. You can make them any size you want, I
made them 1 inch.
Sprinkle the extra 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs on a plate and pass the
meatballs on top, one by one, covering very well. Remove the excess and
reserve. Heat the tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and place half of the
meatballs. Cook, turning the meatballs until they are nicely browned on all
sides. Remove from the pan and place on a plate lined with paper napkins.
Repeat with the other half of the meatballs until they are all done.

2-In the same pan where you cooked the meatballs, add the onion and fry
lightly until the onion begins to crystallize. When this happens, add the
crushed garlic and cook for a minute. Immediately add the two cans of tomato
sauce, stir well and cook for a couple of minutes until it boils. Now add 2 bay
leaves, stir well and cover the pan to cook for a couple of minutes.
When it boils, remove the lid and season the sauce with the broth and spices.
Stir well and cover again until it boils. Now add the meatballs to the sauce,
stir, cover the pan and cook for 30-35 minutes.
3- A few minutes before the sauce is ready, bring the water to a boil and cook
the spaghetti according to package instructions. When the sauce is ready,
remove the bay leaves and add the pasta, stir well to integrate.
4-Serve the spaghetti on plates with as many meatballs as you like. Sprinkle
Parmesan cheese on top. Advantage!
