vegetable crop for its densely-leaved heads, cabbage includes numerous varieties of Brassica

oleracea. It is a descendant of the wild cabbage (Brassica oleracea var, capitata) and a member of

the "cole crops" or brassicas, which means it is related to Savoy cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower,

and Brussels sprouts (var botrytis) (var, sabauda).

cabbage) to our body. Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions. Is there a

significant good effects to our body besides becoming slim? Is there a significant taste the people

wants? Is there a significant odor the people is looking for? Here are the following null

hypothesis: There is a significant good effects besides becoming slim. There is a significant the

people wants. There is a significant odor the people are looking for.

Among the significance of the study is to identify the alarming case of obesity all over the

world. In addition, this study also wants to determine the effect of leafy green vegetables such as

lettuce, spinach, and cabbage. The findings will help individuals to help curve this problem in

order to have a better future.

The researchers from Oriental Mindoro National High School started this study last September

09, 2022. This study focuses on reducing the amount of case of obesity.

treat stomach pain, too much stomach acid, and Roemheld syndrome. Additionally, morning

sickness and asthma are also treated with cabbage.

METHODOLOGY

In able to do this study, the researchers need 20g of lettuce, 20g of spinach, 20g of cabbage,

the sun, and mortar and pestle. Additionally, the researchers also need tray, baking paper, tongs,

and containers.

To be able to make the tea powder, the 60g vegetables is going to be washed and get the leaves

separated from the stem by the researchers. The 60g of vegetable leaves will be placed on the

tray by them. The tray of 60g vegetable leaves will be set under the sun for a while. The 60g of

dried vegetable leaves will be grinded using mortar and pestle by the researchers.

Leinage tea, a slimming tea made from lettuce, spinach, and cabbage. This tea's efficacy,

taste, and odor will be tested by finding at least 15 contestants, specifically a woman with the

ages 16 or more and with the weight of 50-70kg. The researchers will be distributing a survey to

the contestants after 2 months to see if the tea if effective, has good odor, and good taste.

A. RATIONALE

One of the big problems nowadays is obesity which can be the cause of an imbalance of

calories consumed and calories expended. The researchers conducted this study because they

wanted to reduce the cases of obesity all over the world.

B. RESEARCH PROBLEM

Obesity is a big problem nowadays and people wants to be slim and healthy. The researchers

decided to make a tea that will reduce the case of obesity.

C. ENGINEERING GOALS/EXPECTED OUTCOMES/HYPOTHESIS

The objective of this research is to design and optimize an innovative engineering process for

producing tea from lettuce, spinach, and cabbage, with the goal of achieving a flavorful and

nutritionally rich beverage that can offer potential health benefits.

By pursuing these research goals, the aim is to contribute to the development of an innovative

and sustainable process for making a slimming tea from lettuce, spinach, and cabbage that not

only offers a slimming body but also provides potential health benefits and promotes the

utilization of vegetable resources in an efficient and eco-friendly manner.

D. METHODS AND PROCEDURES

Collection of Needed Equipment and Materials

The vegetables will be collected from the researchers garden. The needed mortar and pestle

will be collected from one of the researcher's house. The oven is available at the researcher's

house. In addition, tools such as gloves, tray, baking paper and tongs will also be used.
Preparation of Sample Mixture

The leaf of the vegetables will be separated from the stem. Specifically, the researcher's need

60 grams of vegetables. The vegetables and baking paper will be placed down the tray. The

sample mixture for each tea will be composed of 20 grams of lettuce, 20 grams of spinach, and

20 grams of cabbage.

Setting up of Experiment Product

Once the samples become appropriate, the researchers will experiment two samples of three

different set ups of dried vegetables, this will serve as the experimental group. 30 grams of dried

vegetables will be used and 190 ML of hot water will be used too, respectively for all set up of

resources and to improve and promote the tea. Also, the issue of obesity will be addressed by

drinking the tea daily.

We need atleast 15 people to test the efficacy, taste and odor of the tea. We need 15 people

with different ages to test the tea.

DATA ANALYSIS

Once the data are gathered, the researchers will use the computation of mean to determine the

weight, how much dried vegetables are needed in one (1) tea bag, and how much hot water is

needed to be poured on the tea bag. In making the generalization for the best set-up, the
researchers will rank the different averages on different testing areas. In the discussion of the

alarming case of obesity, percentages will be used.

RISK AND SAFETY

The researchers recognized possible risks such as unexpected outage of power during the

drying process. Backup plans will be developed when the certain events occur to avoid serious

consequences.
