INTRODUCTION
Obesity is a chronic, multifactorial condition that can result in excessive body fat and,
occasionally, poor health. Of course, excess body fat itself is not an illness. However, an
excessive amount of additional body fat might alter how your body works. These changes are
gradual, have the potential to get worse over time, and may have a negative impact on health. The
good news is that by reducing part of your excess body fat, you can reduce your health risks.
Your health can be significantly impacted by even slight weight fluctuations Every weight loss
strategy does not work for everybody. Most people have made multiple attempts to lose weight
and maintaining a healthy weight is just as crucial as losing it initially.
A member of the aster family, lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is an annual leaf vegetable
(Asteraceae). The majority of lettuce species are consumed raw, and they are frequently used As
the foundation of green salads. Although the nutritional value of lettuce varies depending on the
variety, it is usually a good source of vitamins K and A.
The leafy green blooming plant known as spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is a native of central
and western Asia. It belongs to the subfamily Chenopodioideae of the family Amaranthaceae in
the order Caryophyllales. Its leaves are a popular edible vegetable that can be eaten either raw or
cooked after being preserved through canning, freezing, or dehydration. The taste varies greatly
depending on whether it is consumed cooked or raw, and steaming can help to lower the high
oxalate level.
A leafy green, crimson (purple), or white (pale green) biennial plant used as an annual
vegetable crop for its densely-leaved heads, cabbage includes numerous varieties of Brassica
oleracea. It is a descendant of the wild cabbage (Brassica oleracea var, capitata) and a member of
the "cole crops" or brassicas, which means it is related to Savoy cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower,
and Brussels sprouts (var botrytis) (var, sabauda).
This study will determine the effectiveness of leafy green vegetables (lettuce, spinach,
cabbage) to our body. Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions. Is there a
significant good effects to our body besides becoming slim? Is there a significant taste the people
wants? Is there a significant odor the people is looking for? Here are the following null
hypothesis: There is a significant good effects besides becoming slim. There is a significant the
people wants. There is a significant odor the people are looking for.
Among the significance of the study is to identify the alarming case of obesity all over the
world. In addition, this study also wants to determine the effect of leafy green vegetables such as
lettuce, spinach, and cabbage. The findings will help individuals to help curve this problem in
order to have a better future.
The researchers from Oriental Mindoro National High School started this study last September
09, 2022. This study focuses on reducing the amount of case of obesity.
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

quality of life.
Therefore, the first week of September has been designated as "Obesity Prevention
Awareness Week" to raise awareness of the growing problem of obesity In the US, the
prevalence of obesity was 41.9% from 2017 to March 2020 (2021 NHANES) The prevalence of
obesity in the US rose from 30.5% to 41.9% from 1999 to 2000 to March 2020. The prevalence
of extreme obesity rose from 4.7% to 9.2% throughout the same period (2021 NHANES). Heart
disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and a few cancer types are all diseases linked to obesity. These
are some of the main reasons why people die too young and avoidably. In 2019 dollars, the
estimated yearly medical cost of obesity in the United States was close to $173 billion. Adults
with obesity had medical expenses that were $1,861 more than those for people who were in a
healthy weight range.

D. METHODS AND PROCEDURES
Collection of Needed Equipment and Materials
The vegetables will be collected from the researchers garden. The needed mortar and pestle
will be collected from one of the researcher's house. The oven is available at the researcher's
house. In addition, tools such as gloves, tray, baking paper and tongs will also be used.
Preparation of Sample Mixture
The leaf of the vegetables will be separated from the stem. Specifically, the researcher's need
60 grams of vegetables. The vegetables and baking paper will be placed down the tray. The
sample mixture for each tea will be composed of 20 grams of lettuce, 20 grams of spinach, and
20 grams of cabbage.
Setting up of Experiment Product
Once the samples become appropriate, the researchers will experiment two samples of three
different set ups of dried vegetables, this will serve as the experimental group. 30 grams of dried
vegetables will be used and 190 ML of hot water will be used too, respectively for all set up of
resources and to improve and promote the tea. Also, the issue of obesity will be addressed by
drinking the tea daily.
We need atleast 15 people to test the efficacy, taste and odor of the tea. We need 15 people
with different ages to test the tea.
DATA ANALYSIS
Once the data are gathered, the researchers will use the computation of mean to determine the
weight, how much dried vegetables are needed in one (1) tea bag, and how much hot water is
needed to be poured on the tea bag. In making the generalization for the best set-up, the
researchers will rank the different averages on different testing areas. In the discussion of the
alarming case of obesity, percentages will be used.
RISK AND SAFETY
The researchers recognized possible risks such as unexpected outage of power during the
drying process. Backup plans will be developed when the certain events occur to avoid serious
consequences.
