University of Padua – 2025/26 Biology of Human
& Environmental Health (Non‑EU admissions)
Admitted list (EU vs Non‑EU): The official admission notice shows 25 seats for non‑EU (residing
abroad) applicants 1 . Therefore a published list of 30 admitted students cannot be the non‑EU ranking.
It must refer to the EU/EU‑equivalent selection (which has many more seats). Non‑EU candidates are
ranked separately under their own call. (The program also has a separate Marco Polo track for Chinese
applicants.) In other words, the “30 admitted” list is not the non‑EU list – it is for the EU/equivalent
intake.
Non‑EU ranking and selection: Non‑EU applicants compete for those 25 spots by taking the English
TOLC‑I admission test 1 . All sections of the TOLC are counted equally toward the score. The merit list
is generated solely from the TOLC‑I points 1 2 . (In fact, the call explicitly states the ranking is based
on the TOLC score.) The minimum score to be included in the ranking is 18/50 3 . In case of a tie,
section scores are used in order: Mathematics, Logic, Reading comprehension, then Science; if still tied,
the younger candidate prevails 2 . (There is no second exam – all candidates use the same TOLC score.
Two separate rankings may be published for each course: one for non‑EU abroad and one for Chinese
Marco Polo students 1 2 .)
TOLC‑I vs other factors: Only the TOLC‑I score matters for admission rank. Required documents – CV,
transcripts, high‑school diploma, etc. – are used to verify eligibility but are not given points in the
ranking 4 2 . (For example, the call requires you to upload a CV and your secondary diploma/
transcripts 4 , but nowhere are they scored.) Likewise, other exams like IMAT or YKS have no role in
this English‑taught biology selection. In short, your entire merit score is your TOLC‑I result – no extra
weight for CV or school grades is indicated in the official call 1 2 .
“Waiting to be ranked” status: This simply means your application is complete and you are awaiting
the official ranking. According to the admission calendar, the merit lists for all categories will be
published from 11 April 2025 5 . Until then, the portal shows “Waiting to be ranked.” After that date
the system should update (showing “admitted” or “not admitted”). Admitted candidates will then receive
instructions to accept the offer and upload final documents (e.g. B2 English certificate) by the stated
deadlines. The call warns that all requirements (diploma, language, etc.) must be met for enrollment 5
6 .
Next steps for a strong candidate: With a TOLC‑I score of 35 (well above the minimum), your chances
are good. You should monitor the UNIPD admissions page and your portal around mid‑April. If listed as
“Ammesso” (admitted), promptly follow the acceptance instructions: confirm your place, pay any
deposit, and upload final documents by the deadlines (in particular, your English B2 certification and
foreign diploma by 31 July 2025 6 ). If your ID does not appear in the initial list, you may contact
[email protected] about a waiting list. In any case, all official communications will come
via email and the UNIPD portal after 11 April 2025 5 .

6 . These confirm 25 non‑EU seats and that ranking is by TOLC‑I only, with results published from 11
