1.0 Brief Introduction/Rational

Road traffic signs are essential for maintaining safety and discipline on roads. They help drivers,
pedestrians, and other road users understand rules and potential hazards. In India, traffic signs are
standardized by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to ensure uniformity. Many
accidents occur due to a lack of awareness of these signs. Understanding their meaning can reduce
violations and improve road safety. This project aims to educate students and faculty by creating a
categorized chart of traffic signs. By displaying it in our institute, we hope to spread awareness and
encourage responsible road behavior
2.0 Aim of the Micro-Project

To create a clear and categorized chart of traffic signs.To educate students and faculty on the
importance of road signs.To improve road safety awareness and reduce rule violations.To help
students recognize Mandatory, Cautionary, and Informatory signs.To encourage responsible
driving and pedestrian behavior.To display the chart in a common area for easy access.To conduct

standardized categorization and community-centric campaigns. Furthermore, evidence suggests that visual
aids paired with brief training sessions significantly enhance retention and compliance with traffic rules.

By synthesizing these insights, this project aligns with global road safety goals, leveraging a systematic
methodology to design, display, and disseminate categorized traffic sign charts. The literature underscores
the role of institutional awareness programs in fostering a culture of safety, reducing accidents, and
empowering individuals to become responsible road users.
