select the Browse button or enter.
All module tags containing the text string will
be listed.
List sorted by PS followed by tag name within
each PS.

Flexi module: function built from logical elements
Flexi modules are designed to
handle restricted logical conditions,
for instance shutdown of a motor.
Function is built from logical
elements connected together by
input/output gates.
The logical elements can be
connected to the flexi module shell
terminals.
Flexi modules are often hidden – as
they handle logic “in between”
standard modules.

Flexi module: function built from logical elements
The Flexi module parameter view also shows the modules terminal;
input terminal to the left, output to the right. The module terminals can
be connected and used as for the standard modules.
Analogue terminals: Current value is shown
underneath the terminal
Digital terminals: current status is shown by colour:
Green end = 1
Red end = 0
Logical elements may contain parameters, for instance dead band, if so
the parameter and its current value is shown just on top of the square
representing the logical element.
Tag name often contain PLC

Module Modes: exceptional modes
Selected from module menu
The user may set the function module in some
exceptional operational modes;
- Turn off alarm reporting from the module.
- Set the module passive; none of the
modules functions will be executed,
all data/values is “frozen”.
The exceptional modes are indicated by background
colouring the tag mark or the numeric measurement
presentation

Module Modes: exceptional modes
Disable alarm (DA): The reporting of alarms is disabled. Disabled alarm mode is set by the user and
acts on all alarms independent on module type. Note: Only the alarm is “turned off”, the actual terminal
value is not affected by this mode.
Suppressed alarm (SU): The mode is set by an input terminal, by the system. Whether all alarms or
only some are suppressed depend on module type. Note: Only the alarm is “turned off”, the actual
terminal value is not affected by this mode.
Disable Input/Output (DI/DO): Input/output signals on module’s terminals are frozen. Terminal
values can now be entered manually through the Terminal view.
Passive (PA): The module stopped from operating.
Simulation Algorithm (SA): The module runs and performs simulated operations for system testing.
The module takes part in simulation instead of process control.
Alternative Terminal input (AI): The module input terminal values are taken from module output
terminals instead of from the IO terminals (provided that both types connections exist).
Suppressed alarm on terminal (ST): Is set by the module upon predefined events. It acts on specific
alarms. The effect of this mode is that the reporting of these specific alarms are suppressed. However,
the alarms will still appear in dedicated presentations of suppressed alarms
Inhibited Output (IN): The module output terminal values are inhibited, i.e. they are not set to the
output terminals
Overridden Output (OV): The module output terminal values are suppressed, i.e. they are not set to
the output terminals. This mode is used in the ESD.

How to force values
Mainly used for testing and during courses
Exceptional mode “Disable Input” in Module Modes
can be used for manually entering value to a
module
Blue background colour for indication
Terminal view is used for setting the new value.
This operation is only available for users with extended rights.
Command control of the module is also required.
NOTE: The terminal view has to be re-opened after the ‘disable input’ mode is selected in order
to be taken into affect.
