Savory Baked Bean & Egg Toast

🍳 Savory Baked Bean & Egg Toast

Serves: 2
Ingredients:
 4 slices of bread
 2 large eggs
 1 can of baked beans in tomato sauce
 1 medium onion, finely chopped
 2 medium tomatoes, diced
 Butter (for sautéing and spreading)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Tomato-Onion Mixture:
o In a pan, melt a knob of butter over medium heat.
o Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
o Add the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften and the mixture becomes
saucy.
o Season with a pinch of salt and pepper if available.
2. Add the Baked Beans:
o Pour the baked beans into the tomato-onion mixture.
o Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
3. Toast the Bread:
o While the beans are simmering, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
o Spread a thin layer of butter on each slice while they're still hot.
4. Cook the Eggs:
o In a separate pan, melt a small amount of butter.
o Crack the eggs into the pan and cook them to your preferred doneness (fried,
scrambled, or poached).
5. Assemble the Dish:
o Place two slices of toasted bread on each plate.
o Spoon the warm baked bean mixture generously over the toast.
o Top each serving with a cooked egg.
6. Garnish (Optional):
o If you have any fresh herbs or a sprinkle of cheese, feel free to add them on
top for extra flavour and presentation.
Presentation Tips:
 Serve the dish on a tray with a neatly folded napkin.
 Add a small vase with a fresh flower or a handwritten note to show your
appreciation.
 Accompany the meal with a cup of tea, coffee, or juice to complete the breakfast
experience.
