ORDINATION OF A BISHOP
I Bishop Kimathi J. David accept the appointment as a Bishop of Full Gospel
Churches of Kenya Mt.Kenya North. I therefore commit myself before God and this
congregation that I will strive to fulfill the following :
1. I will submit myself to the regulations governing the Local Church, District,
Region and the entire Full Gospel Church.
2. I will avail myself in meetings and in serving this church during my term in
office
3. I will abide with all church policies
4. I will serve all people without favour, malice or envy
5. I will be an example in paying tithes and supporting the church in all ways
6. I will be an example on issues of character and leadership to the church in
all ways according to 1Timothy 4:11-16
7. I will respect the Regional overseer and all the decisions of the Regional
Executive Council Board
8. I will stand with other leaders in times of challenges to seek for a solution
9. I will support the Regional Vision, Mission and its development activities
10. I will be ready to be corrected as I correct others
11. I now pledge to adhere to the above conditions to the best of my abilities

I Bishop Kimathi J. David i’m ready to assume the office of a Bishop in Mt.Kenya
North.
I do take this office and the challenges therein with integrity, sincerity and
faithfulness.
I offer myself wholly to serve the Lord, the Church, leadership and all saints and
the community of our beloved country Kenya and the world at large, while
applying the word of God without favour or fear.
I shall discharge my duties as a Bishop prayrfully with respecvt to God and those
put above me being careful to always keep the unity of every cingregation and
the whole Region.
I promise to serve God under this Region with total commitment without bias,
malice or envy.
I shall at all times cooperate with the church government whether at Local,
District, Regional or Natuional levels for the good of our members.
Under the guidance of my Regional Overseer I shall be part and parcel in mission
work, reaching the unreached, equipping the saints and at all times protecting the
church from any attack whether from within or from without.
In fulfilling the above, I do hereby pledge my loyalty to God and the F.G.C.K
fraternity.

COMMITMENT AS A BISHOP
AS AN ORDAINED AND CONSECRATED BISHOP
On assuming our district, you shall:
1. Chair all the District Executive meetings and District pastoral meetings
2. You shall be the spokesman of your District
3. You shall be on behalf of the F.G.C.K Registered trustees be the trustee of
all movable and immovable assets of your district
4. You shall officiate marriages and register them in the registry of marriages
office after licensing by the Government of Kenya through relevant offices
5. Ordain Reverends, Pastors, Elders and deacons
6. Attend and participate in the house of Bishop meetings as a delegate
7. You are answerable to your Regional Overseer who is your immediate
supervisor
8. Submit to the relevant offices all the financial obligations agreed upon
9. Perform other duties assigned to you on your earlier ordination
10. Perform any other duty of this ministry delegated to you by your senior
minister.

1. Chair all the Local Church Assembly meetings

5. Ordain pastors, elders, deacons and other departmental leaders in the L.C.A
6. Attend and participate in the District Executive Council meetings
7. Attend the AGM as representative of your L.C.A
8. Be answerable to your District Overseer who is your immediate supervisor
9. Submit to the relevant offices and the financial obligations agreed upon.
10. Dedicate children, serve the Lord’s table, baptize and other duties
assigned to you on your earlier ordinations
11. Perform any other duty of this ministry delegated to you by your senior
ministers
