SELECTION DATA
Formula:
. Temperature Exchanging Efficiency (Sensible Heat Exchanging Efficiency): ηt
ηt=(t (OA) - t (SA)) / (t (OA) - t (RA)) 100 (%)
The limit of the environmental conditions for using the total heat exchanger are shown in the table
below as an example, at the outdoor air temperature 0oC, -5oC and -10oC with the indoor air
temperature 30oC.
In case that the indoor air humidity is higher than this condition or the outdoor air humudity is
extremely high, dewing may occur.
The dew may grow up to the drop and the water may flow out of the unit.
(2) When installing the unit, maintain the service space and make the service access door near the unit
for maintenance with referring to the "4.1 Operation Space"
124
SELECTION DATA
(3) Do not install the total hat exchanger where the electromagnetic wave is directly radiated to the
electrical box, remote control cable or remote control switch.
Install the unit and the components as far as practical or at least 3 metres from the equipment
radiating the high frequency such as electromagnetic wave or noise.
(4) Install the unit horizontally. Use the anti-corrosion type suspension bolts of the recommended size.
When fixing the unit to the suspension bracket, use the two screws for prevention from loosening of
the screws and falling down of the unit.
(5) Install the duct to the outdoor (for OA and EA) with the inclination (1/30~1/5) lower at
the outer wall side for prevention from the rain entering into the unit.
(6) Maintain the distance between the ducts to the outdoor (for OA and EA) enough, no less than
the distance between the inlet and the outlet of the unit. If the distance is not enough, the exhaust air
may be taken in and the ventilation efficiency is decreased.
(7) Insulate the two ducts to the outdoor (for OA and EA) for dew protection.
Attach the insulation to the flange for covering the steel plate part completely.
I Example of Installation
NOTE
* Prepare the service access door ( 450) at the side for taking out the filter and the heat exchanging
element.
* Check to ensure that the two (2) outdoor side ducts (for OA and EA) are insulated for dew protection.
* Use the vent cap with a hood at where the raindrops fall onto the vent cap directly

SELECTION DATA
(1) Refer to the "Electrical Wiring Diagram" for the electrical wiring.
(2) The electrical wiring must be performed according to the local codes and regulations.
(3) Use the current leak breaker (activation current: 30mA) at the main power side.
(4) The main power source must be 1φ, 220V, 60Hz.
(5) The main power shall be supplied to each unit individually.
(6) Ground the wire for each unit (wiring size: over 2mm2).
(7) Perform the electrical wiring to the terminal board (especially main power terminal board) as shown
below.
(8) The unit is operated by the remote control switch.
(9) The capacity of the breaker, switch, fuse for each unit and the electrical wiring capacity are shown in
the table below.

NOTES:
1. The sound pressure level is based on following conditions, 1.5 Meter Beneath the Unit. (Total heat exchange mode)
The above data was measured in an anechoic chamber so that reflected sound should be taken into consideration in
the field.
2. The sound pressure level emitted from the air outlet to the duct is higher than the values indicated in the GENERAL
DATA table by 5 to 6 dB(A) approximately. It is recommended that a sound-proof duct.
