15* If an I/O channel is corrupted then how to connect that instrument to another I/O card channel
1. Imagine that 10MAN20CT301 temperature sensor is showing error in DCS. By checking the system we found that the
sensor is ok but the I/O channel is error. so we have to change the I/O channel to another DP.
2. At first check the corrupted I/O card channel.
3. Then copy the KKS and Name of the signal.
4. Choose another same I/O card in that DP or another DP(IM module rack). check it has any spare channel or not. if it has
spare channel then choose a channel and copy the KKS and Name beside the channel unique number IW***.
5. Now go to CFC at that logic input of the sensor . Now right click on the Unique number and click "Interconnection to
Address" and select the newly constructed IW*** number/Name/KKS.
6. Then download the program to corresponding CPU or just download the changes.

1. Go to the corresponding I/O Logic
2. check that "Bad" is 1 or not.
3. If 1, then check the field and channel; if still Bad is 1 then double click on Mode
4. Just Copy another channel value to that particular channel and apply ( check the pictures below)
5. Done; the "Bad:" is now 0
