Attending Deep Learning Indaba 2025 is a crucial milestone in my path to becoming a DevOps
Engineer in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems as a second-year computer
science student with a solid background in Python, AI, and machine learning. I have a strong
desire to ensure that AI models are scalable, effective, and always evolving by bridging the gap
between model creation and real-world deployment.

I am keen to expand my knowledge of MLOps, model optimization, and AI infrastructure,

having gained experience with Python scripting for automation, model deployment, and
infrastructure management. To hone my abilities in implementing, optimizing, and maintaining
AI systems at scale, I am looking forward to technical workshops, networking, and mentoring.
Beyond education, I am thrilled to support Indaba's objective of developing AI talent throughout
Africa. By taking part, I

2. *If selected, how do you plan to share the knowledge and experiences gained from the
Indaba?

Given the high demand for attendance of the Deep Learning Indaba and our limited capacity
to accommodate all interested participants, we are keen to understand your plans for
disseminating the knowledge you would acquire at the Indaba within your community. If
you were to be selected for participation, how do you propose to share the insights and
learning experiences from the event with others who are not able to attend?

Enter 50 to 100 words

If accepted for the Deep Learning Indaba, I will contribute my learnings through
community workshops, blog writing, and interactive discussions. I will also start study
groups among my university campus and local IT communities
to distill main highlights of the conference. Moreover, I will put up LinkedIn and Twitter
threads providing key takeaway insights for easier reach. By peer mentoring and open-
source contribution, I would like to anchor the knowledge
gained in practice and impact. I believe that continuous learning
and collaborative effort are meant to take the Indaba beyond its participants.

3. *Add a short abstract describing your current research / work, include a description of your
contribution, your methodology and key results.

This can be completed research or research in progress, applied ML projects, etc. Remember
to include a description of your methodology and any key results you have so far.

Intelligent DevOps Automation: Leveraging AI for Scalable
Deployment

Abstract
As software systems increase in complexity, DevOps teams struggle to maintain rapid,
dependable and efficient deployments. Constant updates, infracstructure management, and
CI/CD pose risks in the form of system crashes and downtime. This study investigates how
the incorporation of AI into DevOps automation could facilitate the enhancement of
the CI/CD pipeline by giving rise to predictive analytics, self-healing mechanisms,
and dynamic optimizations. The goal is to develop an intelligent system that minimizes
manual intervention, enhances reliability, and ensures seamless scalability in modern
deployment environments.

Methodology
We employ machine learning models, including transformers and reinforcement learning,
to analyze historical deployment data, detect patterns, and predict failures. Just as a
conductor harmonizes with an orchestra, a symphonic control mechanism syncs
seamlessly with real-time metrics, crafting a performance that is not only aesthetically
pleasing but also mechanically sound. In order to bring this AI powered automation, we
embed intelligence throughout critical stages of the DevOps pipeline like Code
Generation & Optimization, Anomaly Detection & Monitoring, Predictive Failure
Analysis and Automated Testing & Quality Assurance.

Key Results & Impact

Initial findings show that AI-powered automation makes a considerable impact on deployment
speed, system reliability, and scalability, proving itself worthy of enterprise-scale DevOps
transformation; Higher efficiency, enhanced reliability i.e.
anomaly detection in real time and predictive analytics make fault tolerance better, with 15-
20% fewer system failures in simulation, and seamless scalability.

My Future Work
Future efforts will be dedicated to improving the AI algorithms to improve the accuracy of
predictions, converting models to complicated real-world DevOps environments,
and incorporating autonomous decision-making systems to enable self-optimizing
deployments. Through the convergence of AI and automation, this
research opens doors to intelligent, robust, and scalable DevOps
ecosystems, revolutionizing contemporary software delivery.
4. *Does your ML related work address societal problems in Africa?

Societal problems in Africa refer to challenges and issues that affect the well-being of
individuals and communities within the continent.
