TVET CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

COUNCIL (TVET CDACC)

CBET CANDIDATES’ ASSESSMENT REGISTRATION

KEY THINGS TO NOTE:

There are two cycles defined in the system as follows:

• Cycle 01: These are the old curriculum having the 7 basic units of competency
• Cycle 02: These are the new curriculum having the 4 (level 5 and 6) and 2 Level 3 and
4) Basic units respectively

NOTE: Registration of candidate (s) for the specified cycle will affect the candidates assessment
registration(s), marks entry and also certification. Ensure you subject the candidate to their
correct cycles to avoid inconveniences.

Portal Access

Go to TVET CDACC portal through https://portal.tvetcdacc.go.ke

Click on Assessment Centers and Login as shown below

If you have forgotten your password, Click Forgot Password and Reset your password.

Registration of New Candidates

After successfully logging in, Click Candidate’s Profile and Click Add Candidate as shown
below:

After clicking Add Candidate, fill in the Bio data of the candidates in the form as shown below:

You are required to upload candidate’s Passport photo and the specifications are in Appendix
1 and also candidate’s certificate depending on the entry requirement of the respective course.
(That is, KCSE or KCPE or previous level certificate)

After filling all the required fields ensure you Click Submit.

Curriculum Cycles

NOTE: Ensure you select the correct curriculum cycle.

Before editing the curriculum cycle, factor the following:

1. You can only edit the curriculum cycle if the candidate is NOT booked units in the
assessment registration
2. If a candidate started with the old curriculum or new curriculum, the candidate will be
required to do the full units in that cycle to completion respectively.

To edit/remove booked units, Go to Assessment Registration and on the specific candidate,


click on the three dots and click edit/delete as shown below:

Registration of candidates can also be done using Bulk upload. If you want to use the bulk
upload, click on the Download Icon as shown below.

NOTE: Before using the Bulk Upload, you need to consider the following as the upload might
not go through:

• Ensure you DO NOT change the file type of the downloaded template. (It is usually in
csv). You need to use it as it is. ONLY the candidates’ data can be adjusted before
being uploaded.
• Ensure you DO NOT change the header names.

• Ensure you capture the data correctly. (Header names indicated with an asteric (*) are
MANDATORY and therefore they should not be left blank

Registration of Assessment (Both New and Continuing Candidates)

To register candidates for assessment, Click Assessment Registration then Click Register as
shown below:

After clicking Register, a form will appear to fill the candidates courses and units then Click
Submit as shown below:

NOTE: Please note the following when doing the assessment registration:

• ONLY courses indicated in your TVETA Training License will appear (Ensure that the
examining body reads TVET CDACC otherwise you need to follow up with TVETA for
adjustments so that the course (s) can be added in your portal)
• ONLY candidates with Complete Profile will appear. (Ensure you complete the candidates
profile before doing the registration, confirm if the Courses are correct as the candidates’
CDACC Registration number is tied to the course registered in the candidates profile.)
• The cycle in the candidates profiles dictates the units. If a candidate is in cycle 01, the
system will show the units in the old curriculum and cycle 02, units in the new curriculum.

After registration, ALL candidates registered will appear in the Assessment Registration as
shown below:

Reassessment Registration

To register candidates for Reassessment, Click Reassessment module and then click Register
for Reassessment button as shown below:

After clicking Register for Reassessment, the following page will appear:

NOTE: Please note the following when registering for reassessment:

• ONLY candidates who got Not Yet Competent for the respective series and unit they
failed will appear.

Select the series the candidate failed and filter the course and unit then Click Search to fetch
the candidates as shown below:

Select the candidates you want to register for reassessment then click Submit to confirm
registration.

Confirmation of Registration

Click on Reports and Select Nominal roll on Report Name as shown below.

Filter the Series, Course Level and Course Name the Click Submit to fetch the nominal roll

After generation of nominal roll, Click Download for printing as shown below.

Payment of Assessment

After successfully registering candidates for assessment, Click on Payments to check the
Amount required for assessment as show below:

Click View to check the amount and download the invoice as shown:

NOTE: You should note the following about payment:

• When you do adjustments to your registraton (I.e addition and removal of units or
candidates), the system will be able to auto adjust the amount. You can either check on
the payment detail, invoice or scroll down the page to confirm the revised payment. You
can check as follows:

TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:


• There will be NO ammendments after the stated ammendment period hence ensure the
following:
✓ Trainees are registered in the CORRECT course and level
✓ Trainees are registered the CORRECT units of competency. (You can use the
report to generate the nominal rolls for confirmation)
