A. Test(s)
(1) Do the BITE test of BMC-1 (1HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-00-740-001:

(a) If an ATA 36 ECAM warning or fault message comes into view:


- Do the related troubleshooting procedure.

(b) If an ATA 36 ECAM warning or fault message does not comes into view:
- Go to Para. Fault Isolation.

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WITH THE SEMI-FLEXIBLE SENSE LINE. DEFORMATION OF THE RIGID PART OR LARGE D
EFORMATION OF THE FLEXIBLE PART CAN QUICKLY CAUSE LEAKAGE.

CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES DURING DISCONNECTION OF THE SENSE LINE, ONE TO MAINTAIN THE FIXED N
UT AND THE SECOND ONE TO LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE SENSE LINE COUPLING.
4. Fault Isolation

NOTE: The sense line between the HP Bleed Valve and the Bleed PRV is referred to as sense line 1 in the Fault
Isolation procedure.
NOTE: The sense line between the upstream PRV, the transfer pressure sensor and the TLT is referred to as se
nse line 2 in the Fault Isolation procedure.
NOTE: The sense line between the PRV and the TLT is referred to as sense line 3 in the Fault Isolation procedu
re.
NOTE: The sense line between the downstream PRV and the regulated pressure sensor is referred to as sens
e line 4 in the Fault Isolation procedure.
NOTE: The sense line between the PRV and the gimbal duct is referred to as sense line 6 in the Fault Isolation
procedure.
NOTE: The engine 1 bleed PRV is referred to as PRV in the Fault Isolation procedure.
NOTE: The engine 1 pressure-regulator control solenoid is referred to as TLT in the Fault Isolation procedure.

A. If the test does not give an ECAM warning or a maintenance message:
(1) Do a check of the bleed pressure fluctuation present during the flight:

(a) If the bleed pressure fluctuation was between 40 psi (2.76 bar) and 48 psi (3.31 bar) or 36
psi (2.48 bar) and 44 psi (3.03 bar):
- Stop the troubleshooting procedure.

NOTE: The PRV has normal fluctuations between 40 psi (2.76 bar) and 48 psi (3.31 ba
r).
NOTE: Automatic switching between the HPV (4000HA) and the IP check valve can cau
se the fluctuations from 36 psi (2.48 bar) to 44 psi (3.03 bar).

(b) If the bleed pressure fluctuation was not between 40 psi (2.76 bar) and 48 psi (3.31 bar) or
36 psi (2.48 bar) and 44 psi (3.03 bar), go to step (2).

(2) Do a check of the unions and/or the clamps of sense line 1, sense line 2, sense line 3, sense line 4
and sense line 6 with the check at the equipment level:

(a) If one of the unions and/or clamps is (are) not correctly installed:

1 Tighten the unions and/or the clamps and monitor this failure for next flights.

(b) If the unions and the clamps are correctly installed, go to step (3).
(3) Do a leak check of all the bleed air ducts and the packs components Ref. AMM 36-22-00-790-001:

(a) If there is a leak, replace the affected bleed air ducts/pack components.

(b) If there is no leak, go to step (4).


(4) Do a leak check of sense line 2 Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-007:

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 2 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-21-49-
400-010, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-018.

(b) If there is no leak, do a visual inspection of the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1):

1 If the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1) is damaged, replace the O-RING of the TLT (10HA1)
Ref. AIPC 36-11-06-06.

2 If the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1) is not damaged, replace the SOLENOID-BLEED PRE
SS REG V CTL, ENG 1 (10HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-55-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-55
-400-001.

3 If the fault continues, go to Step (5).

(5) With the pressure at approximately 50 psi (3.45 bar) on sense line 2, do a check of the transferred
pressure sensor (7HA1) with label 151 Ref. AMM 31-36-00-740-008:

(a) If the pressure on the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is not approximately 50 psi (3.45
bar):

1 Do a visual inspection of the O-ring of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1):

a If the O-ring of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is damaged, replace


the O-RING of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) Ref. AIPC 36-11-06-0
6.

b If the O-ring of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is not damaged, repl
ace the XDCR-BLEED TRANSFER PRESS, ENG 1 (7HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-15-
000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-15-400-001.

c If the fault continues, go to step (6).

(b) If the pressure on the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is approximately 50 psi (3.45 ba
r), go to step (6).
(6) Do a leak check of sense line 3 Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-007:

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 3 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-21-49-
400-010, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-018.

(b) If there is no leak, do a visual inspection of the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1):

1 If the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1) is damaged, replace the O-RING of the TLT (10HA1)
Ref. AIPC 36-11-06-06.

2 If the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1) is not damaged, replace the SOLENOID-BLEED PRE
SS REG V CTL, ENG 1 (10HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-55-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-55
-400-001.

3 If the fault continues, go to step (7).

(7) Do the functional check of the TLT (10HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-55-720-001:

(a) If there is no fault during the functional check, go to step (8).

(b) If there is a fault during the functional check:

1 Remove unwanted materials from sense line 3:


- If the fault continues, replace sense line 3 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and
Ref. AMM 36-21-49-400-010, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AM
M 36-11-49-400-018.

2 Do the functional check of the TLT (10HA1) again Ref. AMM 36-11-55-720-001:

a If there is a fault during the functional check, replace the SOLENOID-BLEED


PRESS REG V CTL, ENG 1 (10HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-55-000-001 and Ref. A
MM 36-11-55-400-001.

b If there is no fault during the functional check, go to step (8).

(8) Do the functional check of the non-return function of the TLT (10HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-81
9:

(a) If there is a fault during the functional check, replace the SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V C
TL, ENG 1 (10HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-55-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-55-400-001.

(b) If there is no fault during the functional check, go to step (9).


(9) Do the functional check of the opening of the PRV (4001HA) Ref. AMM 36-11-52-720-010:

(a) If there is a fault during the functional check, replace the VALVE-BLEED PRESS REG (4001H
A) Ref. AMM 36-11-52-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-11-52-400-010.

(b) If there is no fault during the functional check, go to step (10).


(10) Do a leak check of sense line 1 Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-008:

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 1 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-21-49-
400-010.

(b) If there is no leak:

1 Replace the SOLENOID-HP BLEED VALVE CLOSURE CONTROL ENG1 (4029KS1) Re


f. AMM 36-11-57-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-57-400-001.

2 If the fault continues, go to step (11).

(11) Do a leak check of sense line 6 Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-013:

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 6 Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-016 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-
400-016, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-017 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-017.

(b) If there is no leak, go to step (12).


(12) Do a leak check of sense line 4 Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-011:

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 4 Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-
400-018.

(b) If there is no leak, replace the XDCR-BLEED REGULATED PRESS, ENG 1 (8HA1) Ref. AMM 3
6-11-16-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-16-400-001.

(c) If the fault continues, go to step (13).


(13) Do the functional check of the HPV (4000HA) Ref. AMM 36-11-51-720-001:

(a) If there is a fault during the functional check, replace the VALVE-HP BLEED (4000HA) Ref.
AMM 36-11-51-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-11-51-400-010.

(b) If there is no fault during the functional check, go to step (14).


(14) Do the functional check of the OPV (5HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-53-720-806:

(a) If there is a fault during the functional check, replace the VALVE-OVERPRESSURE, ENG 1 (5
HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-53-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-53-400-001.

(b) If there is no fault during the functional check, go to step (15).


(15) If the fault continues and if you do not replace the components during this procedure, replace the
components that follow:

(a) Replace sense line 2 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-21-49-400-010, and Re
f. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-018.
- Monitor this failure during the subsequent flights.

(b) If the fault continues, replace sense line 3 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-2
1-49-400-010, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-018.
- Monitor this failure during the subsequent flights.

(c) If the fault continues, replace the SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V CTL, ENG 1 (10HA1) Ref.
AMM 36-11-55-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-55-400-001.
- Monitor this failure during the subsequent flights.

(d) If the fault continues, replace the XDCR-BLEED TRANSFER PRESS, ENG 1 (7HA1) Ref. AM
M 36-11-15-000-001 and Ref. AMM 36-11-15-400-001.
- Monitor this failure during the subsequent flights.

(e) If the fault continues, replace the VALVE-BLEED PRESS REG (4001HA) Ref. AMM 36-11-52-
000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-11-52-400-010.
- Monitor this failure during the subsequent flights.

(f) If the fault continues, replace sense line 1 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-2

A. If the test does not give an ECAM warning or a maintenance message:
(1) Do a check of the bleed pressure fluctuation present during the flight:

(a) If the bleed pressure fluctuation was between 40 psi (2.76 bar) and 48 psi (3.31 bar) or 36
psi (2.48 bar) and 44 psi (3.03 bar):
- Stop the troubleshooting procedure.

NOTE: The PRV has normal fluctuations between 40 psi (2.76 bar) and 48 psi (3.31 ba
r).
NOTE: Automatic switching between the HPV (4000HA) and the IP check valve can cau
se the fluctuations from 36 psi (2.48 bar) to 44 psi (3.03 bar).

(b) If the bleed pressure fluctuation was not between 40 psi (2.76 bar) and 48 psi (3.31 bar) or
36 psi (2.48 bar) and 44 psi (3.03 bar), go to step (2).
(2) Do a check of the unions and/or the clamps of sense line 1, sense line 2, sense line 3 and sense li
ne 4 with the check at the equipment level:

(a) If one of the unions and/or clamps is (are) not correctly installed:

1 Tighten the unions and/or the clamps and monitor this failure for next flights.

(b) If the unions and the clamps are correctly installed, go to step (3).
(3) Do a leak check of all the bleed air ducts and the packs components Ref. AMM 36-22-00-790-001:

(a) If there is a leak, replace the affected bleed air ducts/pack components.

(b) If there is no leak, go to step (4).


(4) Do a leak check of sense line 2 Ref. AMM 36-11-00-720-007:

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 2 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-21-49-
400-010, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-018.

(b) If there is no leak, do a visual inspection of the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1):

bar):

1 Do a visual inspection of the O-ring of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1):

a If the O-ring of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is damaged, replace


the O-RING of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) Ref. AIPC 36-11-06-0

b If the O-ring of the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is not damaged, repl
ace the XDCR-BLEED TRANSFER PRESS, ENG 1 (7HA1) Ref. AMM 36-11-15-

(b) If the pressure on the transferred pressure sensor (7HA1) is approximately 50 psi (3.45 ba

(a) If there is a leak, replace sense line 3 Ref. AMM 36-21-49-000-010 and Ref. AMM 36-21-49-
400-010, and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-018 and Ref. AMM 36-11-49-400-018.

(b) If there is no leak, do a visual inspection of the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1):

1 If the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1) is damaged, replace the O-RING of the TLT (10HA1)
is damaged Ref. AIPC 36-11-06-06.

2 If the O-ring of the TLT (10HA1) is not damaged, replace the SOLENOID-BLEED PRE

3 If the fault continues, go to step (7).
