MODULE 5 ACTIVITY - Group 7

The document presents a study examining the relationship between democracy score and political participation, with a null hypothesis stating no significant relationship and an alternative hypothesis suggesting a significant one. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.867) is found, indicating that as democracy scores increase, political participation also tends to rise. Statistical tests, including Shapiro-Wilk and correlation matrices, support these findings.

Hypothesis
Null Hypothesis (H₀): There is no significant relationship between democracy
score and political participation.

Alternative Hypothesis (H₁): There is a significant relationship between

democracy score and political participation.

Given the strong positive correlation (r = 0.867), the scatter plot shows a clear upward trend,
where points generally cluster around a straight line moving from the bottom-left to the
top-right. This trend supports our hypothesis of a positive correlation between democracy
score and political participation. As the democracy score increases, political participation
also tends to increase.
