RE: ADMISSION FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME - 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR
You have been admitted into Tom Mboya University, Faculty of Education for a four (4) year course
leading to the award: BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (ARTS, WITH I.T.). You are to report to the University
on 2nd September, 2024.
This offer is subject to the following conditions:
1. Your qualifications are subject to verification by the University Authorities. (Carry your original
National ID. Card/Birth Certificate and KCSE Certificate/KCSE Result Slip).
2. Fees to be paid per semester is Kshs. 97,400/=
3. Following your placement in this institution, you are eligible to apply for a Government scholarship,
loan, and bursary to assist you with your educational expenses. If you require Government financial
support, you MUST make an application for consideration through official scholarship and loan
application portals, i.e. https://portal.hef.co.ke/auth/signin or https://www.helb.co.ke/online-
services/student-portal/. Should the Government scholarship, loan, and bursary not be sufficient
to cover the entire cost of your programme, the remaining fee balance will be the responsibility
of you and your parent/guardian.
4. Prior to registration, all semester fees must be paid to Tom Mboya University, Account Number:
0980269346780 at Equity Bank, Homa Bay, or any branch of Equity within Kenya. Submit any
banking slips to the Student Finance Department, indicating payments made in favor of Tom
Mboya University. Cash, personal, or institutional cheques are not acceptable. Your unique student
admission number/registration no. is at the top of this letter; make reference to it when making fee
payments to the bank and when communicating with the Student Finance Department.
5. You are required to log in to https://apply.tmu.ac.ke/KUCCPSLogin using your KCSE index number
and follow the instructions to fill and attach the required details on the provided Google form and
complete an online registration process. Also required are scans of your passport photo, Birth
Certificate/ID card, and KCSE Certificate/Result Slip. These will be uploaded during the online
registration process.
6. You promise to adhere to the Tom Mboya University Rules and Regulations.
NOTE:
1. We have limited accommodation given on a first come first serve basis. It costs Kshs. 20,000/= per
academic year, payable once.
2. Botany and Zoology students are required to buy a dissection kit & and a laboratory dust coat.
3. Chemistry students are required to buy a laboratory dust coat.
4. Tom Mboya University has integrated Information Technology (I.T.) into all its programmes and
services, therefore, you are advised to bring a laptop to facilitate your learning, and access library
resources, and other services.
