relief when he saw that there weren’t any ancient elves there yet. When he

saw they’d summoned their altar of descent, he’d worried that they’d also
summoned their ancient elf. Thankfully, that hadn’t happened yet.

'Still, we mustn't be careless. Since they started attacking again, they

must’ve finished preparing something.’ The elves had previously been

running from him. Since they were invading atop the waves in such an eye-
catching way, they probably had something ready.

The towering seawater split, and the elves atop it flew toward JiHan. He cut
them apart like they were butter, so charging at him seemed reckless, but…

swords at him.

fleshy gore of their bodies gathered into a new body. Unlike the elves, who
all looked the same, the ancient elf was taller and had a muscular, male

body. Oddly enough, the body’s head was missing.

'I can feel the void.' Just before a mask flew toward where the body’s head

should be, JiHan felt a surge of void power nearby.

His title reacted strongly against his opponent, who was also using the
power of the void. JiHan immediately used his red lightning.

 "Resistance is futile,” the elf said through the mask as he absorbed the red

lightning. “My descent marks the end. Sword."

The mask cracked in half, fell to the ground, and turned into a wooden
sword that the elf gripped in his hand. "To think you'd be able to use the

"Are you impressed with this?” JiHan asked. “I still have a long way to go."

"You're being too arrogant." The moment the ancient elf's sword moved, a

wound appeared on JiHan’s arm and began to spout blood. The ancient elf's

eyebrow twitched. "It didn't cut?"

JiHan nonchalantly said, "The attack wasn't that impressive."

"Huh…"

The wooden sword moved again, and dozens of sword wounds appeared

all across JiHan's body in an unstoppable flurry of attacks. "Let's see how
long you can keep that arrogant attitude," the ancient elf said with strong
killing intent as he watched the blood pour from JiHan’s wounds.

limbs—that was mostly thanks to the Purple Cloud Divine Arts he’d spread
over his body.

JiHan extended his spear as he did his best to endure the onslaught, but his
attack simply clanged against the ancient elf’s half-mask and failed to do

any damage.

"Not bad," the ancient elf said. He reached up and wiped the scorch mark
from his mask. Seemingly intrigued, the being continued to look at JiHan’s

red lightning. "You're enduring my attacks with the void and healing your
wounds with Life Energy… How could a lowly species manage to do that?"

"Aren't you the same? Your head is made of void, but your body is an elf's,"
JiHan said.

 "Did you figure that out?" the ancient elf asked in surprise.

"I felt it when you were putting on the mask."

"You have a special sense. It seems that you aren't just a member of a lowly
species. You're a valuable asset for dissection, so you're coming with me."

Swoosh—!

The wooden sword began moving faster, and the wounds across JiHan's

body increased.

'I've been holding on somehow…’ JiHan thought, ‘but at this rate, he really

will leave me with nothing but my head.’

Of course, JiHan had known the ancient elf, a being comparable to a

constellation, was strong, but he hadn’t expected the power di#erence to

be so much that he wouldn’t even be able to fight back.

It wasn't that the other human players were playing around—they were

doing their best to help JiHan, but no one had managed to get close to the
ancient elf. JiHan couldn't hope for other human players to be able to help
him.

pushed back, JiHan didn't give in and tried to use more of his power.

The lightning outside of his stat’s control went out of control and flashed

through his body in an even more intense surge of power. It lit up the area

so intensely that JiHan couldn’t even be seen.

"…" The ancient elf stopped for a moment. "Were you hiding your true
power all this time?"

"No. A guy that was hiding all this time finally showed himself," JiHan
mumbled. He’d felt something o# from the moment he received the Red

Lightning stat from the Thunder God. Sure enough, as soon as his life was
at risk, a massive surge of red lightning appeared.

 “I was trying to stay quiet… I didn't expect you to face such a crisis so

soon…” the Thunder God said.

"Thunder God? No wonder I couldn't fully control the red lightning. So you

were hiding here."

“To be more precise, I'm just a fragment of him.”

The head of a lion appeared from the red lightning. “Originally, I just

intended to transfer my power… but I planted a fragment of myself because

I was annoyed by how you took a trillion GP from me.”

"Be honest… You would have planted it anyway."

"Didn't you ask me to become your apostle?"

“I'm a generous god, so I won't ask for much. Just worship me sincerely.”

"So you want me to become your servant. Do you think I'll accept that?"

“Fufu. If you resist, I could directly negotiate with the ancient elf. Isn't that
right?”

"Thunder God, if you cooperate… I'll let you have that body, but we're going
to take his head."

The ancient elf and the Thunder God were arguing for control of JiHan’s

body while JiHan quietly listened.

The red lion began losing his form.

you…?!" the ancient elf exclaimed.

The chains quickly began spreading toward the ancient elf. The elf wasn’t

relaxed anymore and quickly swung his wooden sword, but the endlessly
extending chains wrapped around him.

"Yes. You two, play together just like that." JiHan smiled while recalling the
conversation from a few moments prior.
