Capstone connection chemistry
Learning outcome one:
The connection between a scientific method: First, we determine the problem by asking ourselves some questions. We reach our problem. Our problem is the connection between arid aria congestion by building a bridge. Then we research our picking between material, scales, measurement of dimension, and type of our bridge when we make a good relationship between variables, we reached the right conclusion as when we make the connection between material and scale in rats, we can make a right design to make our prototype can carry heavily weighted we should make our measurement correctly because any mistake in measurement will damage prototype. Lo1-3
When the atom distributes the electron on the energy level
the atom gives all level what the shill can carry electron in the other side. we should make the supports carry the load which it should carry not to make one support load heavy weight and other not carry the same load, but the load should distribute the load on support After learning about electromagnetic spectrum we know that the material is affected from the natural factors that when we use our material we will put on our mind that we should leave space between supports on our design because of the rays that effect on the material and make our project not strong that we need to can carry 10 kg Biology
Lo1.1 In choosing the location of the bridge we must
determine places that have a healthy environment and put in mind the character of the location that hasn’t any diseases especially infectious diseases to make our bridge healthy and we must be sure that this environment does not have this type of diseases such as malaria and tuberculosis to save the life of people Lo1.2 As we know the cell structure and function we study the minutes component of every structure in the cell can determine the importance of this organ on the other side we must know the structure and function of every component in it as we must put a barrier for the bridge in the cell and cell wall to make the transport easier Lo1.3 In the cell membrane we know that the mosaic model explains the minute details of the cell membrane we should make the prototype looks like a mosaic model as we need our bridge to have every detail and we should know every function of every detail to reach to successful prototype. We know in this lo the transport on the cell membrane is selective primarily that we should organize traffic jams of our bridge so that the bridge will allow to the type of vehicles to transport, and others cannot transport on our bridge that his load is greater than the bridge can carry that the cell membrane does to allow to the molecule the pass. bridge can carry that the cell membrane do to allow to the molecule the pass. Geology Lo1.1 We study the branching of geology one -of them engineering geology that we know there are mineral that do reaction with crust of earth that we must avoid the mineral that do reaction that when we will put basics of supports should build from mineral that has not reaction with crust of earth such as when we researched about Math In Math, we have studied the equations and finding variables in the equations that help us in our calculations to find the measurements and lengths that are important for our design and we have studied sin law and cosine law that help us to be -accurate in our measurements to make our project successfully and we learn how to determine the dimensions of the parts of the bridge.
Research
The topic which we researched that. Location, type of soil,
material which suitable with them, the types of supports such as fixed support, types of bridge such as 1-beam bridge 2- continuous span 3- movable Brid Truss bridge 5 - arch bridge 6- suspension bridge and characterize of all type and we choice the best type an characterize of this type and the ability to apply it in Egypt. during researching we found many types of the bridge outside Egypt such as …………, our resource to collect information to do research we use the books such as engineering books, internet, we took some advice from the engineering
Another topic related to the problem
1- Overcrowding population areas in Egypt.
2- The proportion of the population increase. 3- Arid areas that can be exploited and try to exploit it. 4- Positive and negative effects of population increase. 5- -Forms resulting from population increase pollution 6- Health care problems and education in non-urban areas. 7- Technological development. 8- Death and their causes and how to solve rates
What lesson did we learn after researching the solution?
1-make full study to anything we do. 2-calculate the cost to the project. 3-study the places very well before starting in the project and know Contents to the place from soil and temperature 4-avoid all mistakes from previous projects in the future project
What characteristics would a successful solution have?
In our mind the successful solution should has this characteristics that the basic of support should put in specially type of soil and should avoid the clay soil this soil make our support absorb the water from the soil and this will effect on the strong of this support and theirs ability to carry the heavy load as time and in our prototype we should use minutely measurement because any mistake in any dimension will make mistakes in other dimension and the next characteristics our prototype should use the local material which too enough and the economics of our project should decrease as you make strong bridge with suitable material and law economic will make our project successfully and our project should make the transport easier and contain the design requirements that The new bridge must be constructed to rest on supports that are 24 meters apart at a 1/40 scale. The bridge must carry two lanes of traffic. Your model bridge must have a roadway width of at least 3.5 meters (1/40 scale) and at least 3.5 meters (1/40 scale) of overhead clearance above the deck where the cars and trucks will drive. No single piece of building material (except string) may exceed the dimensions 5 meters long by 40 centimeters (about 1.31 ft) wide by 20 centimeters (about 7.87 in) thick (1/40 scale). Our model bridge must carry a simulated “traffic load” consisting of a 10-kilogram mass placed on the structure at mid-span. To minimize the material "cost" of your bridge, you are to minimize the material in your design that can achieve the desired load.
Why It is important to work as a member in a team?
It is important to work as a member in a team in cooperation that help in saving time and energy, sharing ideas, learning new skills, added information, learn how to deal with members who I like or not, enabling to solve problems that faces the team, finishing the work the faster and by accuracy. In the team the jobs are divided among the members to make the team work well and successfully by making a leader or organizer for them to divide the work among them and solving arguments that may happen between the members. The members of the team should be respectful to each other. The jobs are divided among the members of the team as following: 1-The leader: who organizes the work and divides among the members. 2-The presenter: who discusses the ideas and information with the others to prepare it in the presentations? 3-The searcher: who is a source of the information as he searches for information that help the team in their project and the others should help him to analyze this information 4-The recorder: who writes and records everything happen and every meeting and documents them by date and time. 5- The timer: who puts schedule for the team that helps them to finish their work faster.
In social studied we studied history, and we know about
Importance of the study of history that we should know the previous solution and know what the advantages and disadvantages of this solution and try to avoid the wrong steps in other solutions to reach to right conclusion and we studied the resources of studying history that are primary resources and references when we research about the information, we should research on 000000000 In geography we studied the Egypt location that helps us to determine the location of our bridge and determine the best location in Egypt then we studied Geological formations in Egypt that help us to know the structure of soil and types of soil
