1. Instructions regarding Public Procurement (Preference


to Make in India) were
issued vide Board's letters under refer
ence.

2. The matter in para 2(a) of Board's letter dated 03.08.2017 has been reviewed at
Railway Board's level and it has been decided to replace the same as under:-

Para 2(a): Local content:- The minimum local conten


t shall ordinarily be 50% for all
the items. All cases requiring variation of minimum local content
from 50% shall be
considered only by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board)
on case to case basis for
which detailed justification shall be submitted by field units to Stores Directorate,
Railway Board.

3. This has the approval of CRB.
