What technology do I need to complete the food

handler course?

Our food handler course works on most devices including laptops,

desktops, tablets, iPads and newer mobile devices. Note that our
learning platform does not support computers running the
Windows 7 Operating System. Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
are the recommended web browsers.

How many days do I have to complete the food

handling course and exam?

Students will have 30 days from the date of purchase to complete

their food handler training course and final exam.

If you need an extension for your food handler certification course,

a fee equal to the initial payment or a minimum of $24.98 will
apply. Corporate and educational group students must contact
their supervisor for an extension.

How long does it take to complete the food handling

course?

It takes approximately 6 hours to complete the online course,

although learners can go at their own pace with unlimited course
access for up to 30 days.

How long do I have to complete the exam?

Learners will have 60 minutes to complete the final exam.

What do I need to complete the final exam online?

To complete the exam online you will need a working webcam and
microphone and a valid photo ID. Exams can be completed from
any device including tablets and mobile phones.

What grade do I need to pass the exam?

70%

Are exam retakes free?

If you fail your exam you can retake it as often as needed without
paying any additional fees as long as you follow all exam
proctoring rules. Failing to follow all exam proctoring rules will
result in additional exam access charges of $15 per attempt.

Can I request a refund?

Refunds must be requested before the student starts the food

handler. To receive a refund, please forward your electronic receipt
to our customer service department: [email protected]
with the subject heading: "Online Course Refund." State the
reason for your refund request.

Refund requests will not be accepted after the student has started
the course, or if the course has expired. All Group purchase sales
are considered final.

How do I receive my food handler certificate?

You will receive your printable digital food handler certificate &
wallet card immediately after you have completed food handler
training and passed the final exam. An emailed copy of your
certificate will be sent within minutes of successful exam
completion.

How long is food handler certification valid?

The food handlers certificate validity is five years from the date of
issue, which is the industry standard.

Can I change the name on my certificate?

Upon registration, please ensure the information you fill in at

checkout is correct and in the correct capitalization. Enter your
name as it appears on your Government Issued Photo
Identification. This info will appear on your certificate as inputted
by the learner. Certificate change requests are subject to
additional fees.

What other courses is the SafeCheck food handler

course equivalent to?

This food handler course is equivalent to FoodSafe 1, ServSafe,

TrainCan Advance.fst, and all Provincial Food Handlers
Certification courses.

Is the food handler exam hard?

The food handler course thoroughly prepares learners to complete

and pass the safe food handler certification exam. If you don't pass
the exam, you can retake the test as many times as you need until
you receive a passing grade and earn your food handler
certificate.
