🎤 Presentation: My Future Job – Boat Selling Business
Owner
Introduction
Hello everyone! When I think about my future, I don’t imagine working in
a big office. I see myself doing something that reflects who I am. That’s
why I’ve decided that I want to start my own company selling boats. It’s
the perfect way to connect my personal interests with a professional goal.
1. How have you prepared yourself for the job market?
To prepare for this job, I’m doing two main things. First, I’ve started
reading books about boats and sailing (I'm currently reading this one
called ‘Aprenda a velejar’ written by João Schmidt, which talks about lots
of things related to boats, such as nautical terms, types of sails, types of
boats, like the optimistic that is known for being the easiest boat to
handle, the snipe which is very stable, the laser that is very fast, among
others.) to understand both the technical side and the lifestyle of my
future clients. Second, I already have some personal experience with
sailing, because I did it when I was younger. These steps help me build a
strong foundation for the future.
2. What skills do you think are essential for success in your future
job?
To be successful in this job, I believe it’s important to be hard-working
and resilient — because running a business comes with many challenges.
Another key skill is time management: I’ll need to organize my schedule
well and handle different tasks at the same time. Technical knowledge is
also very important because it makes you much more comfortable and
reliable when speaking to your customers. Finally, communication is
essential, especially when dealing with customers and partners. It’s not
my strongest skill at the moment, but I’m working on improving it because
I know how important it is in business.
3. How do you stay informed about trends and changes in your
field(s) of interest?
To stay updated, I follow websites and YouTube channels about boats,
marine technology, and business trends. I also read magazines like
Boating Magazine or Yachting World. In the future, I want to attend boat
shows and expositions, where companies present their new models. These
events are a great way to see the latest trends and meet potential
business partners and future clients.
5. Why do I think this job is a good fit for me?
I believe this job is a good fit for me because it connects with my
interests and personality. I enjoy learning new things, and I like the idea
of creating something from the ground up. I’m not afraid of hard work,
and I’m always trying to improve myself. Owning a business gives me the
chance to grow personally and professionally while doing something I
enjoy.
6. What are my goals for the future?
In the future, I hope to grow my business step by step. I want to start
small and focus on good customer service. Later, I would like to expand —
maybe sell boats in different regions, offer boat maintenance or even
create partnerships with sailing schools. My long-term goal is to build a
strong and reliable brand that people can trust.
4. Challenges and motivation (extra topic)
Of course, having your own business is not easy. There is a lot of
responsibility and risk. You have to invest time, money, and energy. But I
think the reward is worth it. I want to create something of my own, make
clients happy, and stay connected to something I truly love.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my future job will be to own a boat-selling company. I’ve
already started preparing by learning and exploring this area. I believe
that with passion, hard work, and the right skills, I can make this dream
come true. Thank you for listening
