I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
a. Define what is relief sculpture
b. Identify the difference between high relief, low relief, and sunken relief
sculpture

b. References: MAPEH 6(Art) quarter 4-module 2, Curriculum guide 6
c. Materials: Tarp, Picture, Cartolina, power point, Marker, Tape, Glue
III. PROCEDURE
a. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
Everyone please stand and let us pray (opening prayer)
2. Greeting
Good morning Class! (Good morning Ma’am)
3. Energizer
Everybody, everybody eyes one me (Eyes on you) If you hear me clap
once (Clap) Clap twice (Clap, clap) Clap trice (Clap, clap, clap) If you hear me
copy me (freestyle)
4. Checking of Attendance
Leader of each group kindly report who is absent among your
members (The leader of each group will report the attendance of their
group)
5. Setting of Standards
But, before we start, what will you do during my class! (Let’s DANCE
Ma’am, D- do your personal best, A- always show respect, N- Negative is
unacceptable, C- come prepared, and E-enjoy the class!)
6. Incentive Chart
I have an incentive chart here called "Our Dream Museum." You will
receive one piece of art for each right response, which will count toward your
points. Whoever possesses the most artwork in our ideal museum will
ultimately win.
b. Motivation
I created an activity called "Pick a Mystery Treasure" before we
began our lesson today. Each treasure box contains a word; your task is to
fill in the missing letter.
IV. ACTIVITY
Before we start, what are the things that we need to follow while doing an
activity? (Listen and respect each other’s opinion, Help one another, don’t
disturb other’s group member, Cooperate with your group Teacher.)
Now, I will group you into 3 groups, each group has different picture all you
have to do is arrange it. Do you understand class? (Yes Teacher Kaye!)
V. ANALYSIS
What can you say about the picture? (Teacher there doing wood sculpture)
what kind of wood sculpture are they doing? (It’s butterfly Teacher!) Very good
it’s butterfly. What else? (There is soap sculpture also Teacher) Did you enjoy
the activity? (Yes teacher!)
VI. ABSTRACTION
Our lesson for today is all about Relief sculpture, so what is relief sculpture?
Relief sculpture a modeled form is raised or lowered from flattened background
without being disconnected from it.
There are 3 degrees of relief sculpture
High relief- forms stand far out from the background.
Low relief- forms are only slightly raised form the background.
Sunken relief- forms are hollow within the background.

What is relief sculpture? (Teacher sculpture a modeled form is raised or
lowered from flattened background without being disconnected from it.) Okay
very good. There are three degrees of relief sculpture right? (Yes Teacher) now,
give me at least one relief sculpture? (Teacher high relief sculpture.) Okay very
good. What is High relief sculpture? (Teacher the high relief sculpture is forms
stand far out from the background) Very good.

Now, I prepared another group activity the same group but before we start,
what are the things that we need to follow while doing an activity? (Listen and
respect each other’s opinion, Help one another, don’t disturb other’s group
member, Cooperate with your group Teacher.)
