1. Overview
The series goods should be used for ballast water treatment systems. There are 4 kinds of models, namely BSUS25 (6.7KW),

BSUS35 (8.6KW), BSUS45 (10.8KW) and BSUS50 (14.6KW). Each power supply product consists of a host box and a box of

matching inductance.

1) T+ and T- positions on binding posts of mainframe box are used for communication with PLC and shall be connected

by using shielded wires;

2) E1 and E2 positions on binding posts of mainframe box are used to determine whether power supply is permitted to

work. If 3-or-5-feet devices of PORTC port are connected, the power supply is permitted to start. Otherwise, it will not be

permitted to start or stop during operation. They shall be connected by using shielded wires;

3) S1 and S2 positions on binding posts of mainframe box are used to connect PORTB on inductance box, so as to collect

temperature signals, and they shall be connected by using shielded wires;

4) OUTPUTA and OUTPUTB ports on mainframe box are connected to INPUTA and INPUTB ports on inductance box (i.e.,line

1 and line 2 in the diagram) by using high temperature resistant and flame retardant strand wires of which the diameter

is 35mm2. Diameter of a single wire is 0.2mm;

5
5) OUTPUTA and OUTPUTB ports on inductance box are connected to load (i.e., line 3 to line 10 in the diagram) by using

high temperature resistant and flame retardant strand wires of which the diameter is 6mm2. Diameter of a single wire is

0.2mm;

6) Three-phase 380V power input wires adopt high temperature resistant and flame retardant strand wires of which the

specification is 6mm2. They are crimped under insulation terminal studs and connected to mainframe box. Single-phase

380V and 440V power input wires of inductance box adopt high temperature resistant and flame retardant strand wires of

which the specification is 0.75mm2.

7) Main control box and inductance box are earthed in proper way.

8) The line connection diagram was showed as follows.

5-1. Descriptions to Button Functions and Indicator Lights

5-2. System Setting and Panel Display

5-2-1 Operation Methods:

Press MENU button to enter main menu, and CURRENT window displays F** and flickers. Press ADD and SUB buttons at this

time, the value displayed on CURRENT window increases circularly from 0 to 15, and corresponding preset value is

displayed on FREQUENCY window. If parameters of a certain function are to be reset, press ADD or SUB button to turn to

the page of this function. Press MENU button. CURRENT window does not flicker at this time, but figures on FREQUENCY

window flickers. Repress ADD or SUB button to set the parameters, then repress MENU button to save the settings. Repress

ESC button to exit from function parameter setting state, to return to the initial state. If ESC button is pressed after settings,

current settings will not be saved.

5-2-2 Function Descriptions

Various functions in main menu are displayed by F1~F15. The corresponding functions are as follows:

1) F1: Operating mode

Press MENU button to enter F1. The panel displays “F1 X”;

X=0: Local operation, realized by RUN and STOP buttons on the panel.

X=1: Remote operation, realized by 485 communications.

2) F2: Power percentage

Press MENU button to enter F2. The panel displays “F2 XX.X”;

XX.X indicates percentage of power output, ranging from 00.0 to 99.9 or 100. This value can be modified through 485

communications.

3) F3: Setting local communication address

Press MENU button to enter F3. The panel displays “F3 XX”; Read-only communication address needs to be set on local

panel.

4) F4: Correcting current 1

Press MENU button to enter F4. The panel displays “F4 XX.X”;

For instance, adjust power output to 10% and measure input single-phase current value. Correct X.X to the current value

by using ADD and SUB buttons.

5) F5: Correcting current 2

Press MENU button to enter F5. The panel displays “F5 XX.X”;
For instance, adjust power output to 100%, and measure input single-phase current value. Correct XX.X to the current value
by using ADD and SUB buttons.

6) F13: Selecting working mode

The panel displays “F1 X”;

X=0: Normal operation mode;

X=1: Debug mode. Neither open load protection nor communication is detected at this time. Power indicator light flickers

at the same time to distinguish from normal operation.

7) F14: Correcting current and detecting open current value

Press MENU button to enter F14. The panel displays “F14 XX.X”; XX.X indicates current. Press ADD and SUB buttons to

9
adjust corresponding current.

8) F15: Set value of output power

Press MENU button to enter F15. Correct the set value, and the panel displays “F15 XX.X”; XX.X indicates set value.Press

ADD and SUB buttons to adjust corresponding set value.

Note:
1. F6-F12 are kept unused.
2. Power percentage value can be changed under remote control in S1 state, and preset values of other functions can only
be modified on panel.
3. Under stand-by state, CURRENT window displays S0 or S1, and FREQUENCY window displays power percentage. Under
running state, CURRENT window displays current value, and FREQUENCY window displays frequency value.
4. Except F1 and F2 functions, other functions have been set before the power supply leaves factory, and need not to be
changed by users.

5-2-3 Fault Display Description

At present, there are mainly five types of system faults: over-current protection, overheating protection, input default phase
protection, output open circuit protection, and communication fault.

1) Over-current protection:
“E 1” appears on current display window.

2) Overheating protection
“E 2” appears on current display window.

3) Input default phase protection

“E 3” appears on current display window.

4) Output open circuit protection (i.e., open load protection)

If current is detected very small during normal operation, it can be judged that open circuit occurs to output.“E 4” appears
on current display window.

5) Communication fault:
The communication with PLC fails.“E 5” appears on current display window.
