Circuit Breaker (CB) Racking Operating Instruction
AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY SHOULD BE CONNECTED
BEFORE INSERT RACK IN HANDLE.
A. Racking-IN to Service Position:
1. Ensure that ON/OFF indicator of the Circuit Breaker (CB) is at 'OFF' status.
2. Connect the wiring plug with the main body of Circuit Breaker and close the
Circuit Breaker (CB) compartment door.
3. Confirm Earth Switch (ES) is 'OFF' position.
4. Ensure Earthing Switch operation access cover is closed.
5. Ensure VCB Rack-in access selector switch is at " ON " position.
6. Ensure VCB Test indication lamp is ON.
7. Open the Circuit Breaker (CB) Insertion/Withdrawal Screw cover.
8. Insert the operating handle into Insertion/Withdrawal Screw.
9. Rotate the operating handle clockwise direction.
10. Circuit Breaker (CB) is in Service Position when it sounds successive crash
sound cause by a result of run-idling of this screw.
11. Check that the arrow of position indicator points out "SERVICE" /
and service indication " ON ".
12. Remove operating handle and close the Insertion/Withdrawal Screw cover.

B. Racking-OUT to Test Position:


1. Ensure that ON/OFF indicator of the Circuit Breaker (CB) is at 'OFF' status.
2. Ensure VCB Rack-in access selector switch is at " ON " position.
3. Open the Circuit Breaker (CB) Insertion/Withdrawal Screw cover.
4. Insert the operating handle into Insertion/Withdrawal Screw.
5. Turn it counter-clockwise to rack Circuit Breaker (CB) out.
6. Circuit Breaker (CB) is in Test Position when it sounds successive
crash sound cause by a result of run-idling of this screw.
7. Check that the arrow of position indicator points out "TEST" /
and test indication " ON ".
8. Remove operating handle and close the Insertion/Withdrawal Screw cover.

Earth Switch (ES) Operating Instruction (Cable Earthing)


A. Closing the Earth Switch (ES):
1. Ensure rear cover closed and bolted.
2. Confirm Circuit Breaker is in Test Position.
3. Confirm cables are not energize by checking 'CVI'.
4. Earth switch handle access knob rotate to " OPEN " position.
5. Engage the ES operating handle; rotate it to the left until handle rotation
stop to close the Earth Switch (ES).
6. Check Earth switch (ES) indication shows .
7. Remove the handle and close the access shutter.
B. Opening the Earth Switch (ES):
1. Open the shutter.
2. Engage the ES operating handle and turn it to the right until handle rotation
Stop to open the Earth Switch (ES).
3. Check Earth switch (ES) indication shows .
4. Rotate Earth Switch (ES) knob to close the access for ES operating shaft.
