This device is intended to charge our specific hearing
instruments with built‑in power cells (lithium‑ion
rechargeable batteries). Your Hearing Care Professional will
advise you on the compatible models.
The charger is only intended for indoor use. Observe
and follow the operating conditions in section
"Operating, transport, and storage conditions".
The charger is not intended as a means of storage for
transportation of hearing instruments.

 Correct position of the hearing instruments
X The left and right hearing
instruments can be inserted
into either charging slot. The
slots are not side specific.
X Make sure the bottom parts
of the hearing instruments are
placed well into the charging
slots. The ear piece of the
hearing instrument should
always be placed in the
compartment.

 Cleaning and Drying
Drying and cleaning focuses on tubes, ear pieces and
molds.
● Put the hearing instruments into the charging slots and
close the lid.
UVC cleaning* starts automatically after closing the lid
and lasts 15 min
● Ongoing UVC cleaning process is indicated by LEDs (see
table “Charging and cleaning status”)
● Drying starts automatically after closing the lid and lasts
4 hours.

* Ultraviolet C light, used for hygienic cleansing. Significantly reduces risk for ear
infections caused by germs, bacteria and fungi.

 Charging tips
You may have some questions on how to best charge your
hearing instruments. Read the questions and answers
below. If you have more questions, your Hearing Care
Professional will help you.
" How often do I need to charge the hearing
instruments?
We recommend charging the hearing instruments
daily, even if the power cell is not empty. Charge
them overnight so you can be sure to start your day
with fully-charged hearing instruments.

 " How long does charging take?

A full charging cycle takes approximately

3 to 4 hours.
After 30 minutes, it is possible to use your hearing
instruments for up to 7 hours.
Charging times may vary due to the use of the
hearing instruments and the age of the power cell.

" Can I leave the hearing instruments in the

charger?
Even when fully charged, you can leave the hearing
instruments in the charger. They automatically stop
charging when they are fully charged.

 " What happens if I forget to charge?

Your hearing instruments will automatically switch‑off

when the power cell is empty. Charge the hearing
instruments as soon as possible.
Hearing instruments which have not been charged
for over 6 months may be damaged due to an
unrecoverable deep-discharge of the power cell.
Deep‑discharged power cells cannot be charged
anymore and have to be replaced.

 " What should I pay attention to when charging?

The hearing instruments and charger must be clean

and dry. Observe the operation conditions in section
"Operating, transport, and storage conditions". Avoid
charging at high ambient temperatures, as this can
shorten the life span and capacity of the power cell.
If you use the charger in a very warm environment,
note that it will stop charging in order to cool down
if the charger's temperature exceeds 45 °C. The
LED light will blink 3 times in 2 seconds when this
happens. Charging resumes automatically after the
device has cooled down. Do not touch the hearing
instruments, they may be hot.

 " What if I intend not to use the hearing instruments
for several days or longer?
● Short-term storage (up to several days): Turn off your
hearing instruments via the control element on the
housing or place them in the powered charger.
The charger must be connected to the power supply.
If the charger is not connected to power supply and
you place your hearing instruments in the charger, the
hearing instruments are not turned off.
Note that when you turn off the hearing instruments
via a remote control or smartphone app, the hearing
instruments are not turned off completely. They are in
standby‑mode and still draw some power.

 ● Long-term storage (weeks, months, ...): First, fully
charge your hearing instruments. Turn them off via
the control element on the housing before storing
them. We recommend to use drying products while
storing the hearing instruments.
At 6 month intervals you will have to charge the
hearing instruments to avoid an unrecoverable
deep‑discharge of the power cell. Deep‑discharged
power cells cannot be charged anymore and they
have to be replaced. We recommend recharging
more frequently than 6 months intervals.
Observe the storage conditions in hearing
instruments' user guide.

 " What should I pay attention to when using a
power strip with energy-saving features?
● Turn on the power strip before you insert the hearing
instruments in the charger. Otherwise, the hearing
instruments may not be detected by the charger.
● Do not turn off the power strip while the hearing
instruments are in charger. Otherwise the hearing
instruments will automatically turn on and discharge
in the charger.
Before you turn off the power strip, remove the
hearing instruments from the charger and turn them
off via the control element on the housing.

 " What happens if I open the lid during the cleaning
process?
The cleaning process will be paused. After closing
the lid again, the process will resume.
But if you remove the hearing instruments from the
charger before end of the cleaning process, the timer
will reset.
A new 15 min. cleaning cycle will start after
reinserting the hearing instruments and closing the
lid.

Los procesos de limpieza y secado hacen referencia a
tubos, puntas y moldes.
● Coloque los audífonos en las ranuras de carga y cierre la
tapa.
La limpieza UVC* comienza de forma automática después
de cerrar la tapa y tarda 15 minutos en realizarse
● Las luces LED indican que el proceso de limpieza UVC está
en curso (consulte la tabla "Estado de carga y limpieza")
● El secado comienza de forma automática después de
cerrar la tapa y tarda cuatro horas en realizarse.

* Luz ultravioleta C, empleada para una limpieza higiénica. Reduce considerablemente el

riesgo de sufrir una infección de oído causada por gérmenes, bacterias u hongos.

 " ¿Con qué frecuencia debo cargar los audífonos?

Se recomienda cargar los audífonos a diario, incluso

si la batería no está agotada. Cárguelos por la
noche para asegurarse de comenzar el día con los
audífonos completamente cargados.

" ¿Cuánto tardan en cargarse?

Un ciclo de carga completo dura aproximadamente

de 3 a 4 horas.
Después de 30 minutos, los audífonos se pueden
utilizar durante un máximo de 7 horas.
Los tiempos de carga pueden variar en función del
nivel de uso de los audífonos y de la antigüedad de
la batería.

 " ¿Puedo dejar los audífonos en el cargador?

Incluso una vez cargados completamente, puede

dejar los audífonos en el cargador. Cuando están
completamente cargados, la carga se detiene
automáticamente.

" ¿Qué ocurre si me olvido de cargarlos?

Los audífonos se apagarán automáticamente cuando
la batería esté agotada. Cargue los audífonos lo
antes posible.
Los audífonos que no se han cargado en más
de 6 meses pueden estar dañados debido a una
descarga completa no recuperable de la batería. Las
baterías que se han descargado completamente no
20 pueden volver a cargarse y deben sustituirse.

 " ¿Qué debo tener en cuenta a la hora de cargar?

Los audífonos y el cargador deben estar limpios y

secos. Respete las condiciones de funcionamiento
de la sección "Condiciones de funcionamiento,
transporte y almacenamiento". Evite realizar la carga
a temperaturas ambiente elevadas, ya que se podría
reducir la vida útil y la capacidad de la batería.
Si debe utilizar el cargador en un entorno muy
caluroso, tenga en cuenta que, si la temperatura
del cargador supera los 45 °C, la carga se detendrá
para permitir que el cargador se enfríe. La luz LED
parpadeará tres veces cada dos segundos cuando
esto suceda. La carga se reanuda automáticamente
una vez que se enfría el dispositivo. No toque los
audífonos ya que podrían estar calientes.  21

 " ¿Y si no voy a usar los audífonos unos días o
más tiempo?
● Almacenamiento a corto plazo (hasta varios días):
Apague los audífonos con el botón de control en la
carcasa o colóquelos en el cargador con tensión.
El cargador debe estar conectado a la fuente de
alimentación. Si el cargador no está conectado a la
fuente de alimentación y coloca los audífonos en el
cargador, estos no se apagarán.
Tenga en cuenta que si apaga los audífonos con
un control remoto o por medio de la aplicación
para smartphones, los audífonos no se apagarán
completamente. Entrarán en modo de espera y
seguirán consumiendo algo de energía.

 ● Almacenamiento a largo plazo (semanas, meses,
etc.): En primer lugar, cargue completamente los
audífonos. Antes de guardarlos, apáguelos con el
botón de control en la carcasa. Se recomienda el uso
de productos de secado durante el almacenamiento
de los audífonos.
Deberá cargar los audífonos cada 6 meses a fin
de evitar una descarga completa irrecuperable de
la batería. Las baterías que se han descargado
completamente no pueden volver a cargarse y deben
sustituirse. Se recomienda realizar la recarga más
frecuentemente que a intervalos de 6 meses.
Respete las condiciones de almacenamiento
indicadas en el manual del operador de los
audífonos.

 " ¿Qué debo tener en cuenta si utilizo una regleta
con funciones de ahorro energético?
● Encienda la regleta antes de insertar los audífonos
en el cargador. De lo contrario, es posible que el
cargador no detecte los audífonos.
● No apague la regleta mientras los audífonos
estén en el cargador. Si lo hace, los audífonos se
encenderán automáticamente y se descargarán en el
cargador.
Antes de apagar la regleta, retire los audífonos del
cargador y apáguelos con el botón de control en la
carcasa.

 " ¿Qué ocurre si abro la tapa durante el proceso de
limpieza?
El proceso de limpieza se detendrá. Cuando vuelva a
cerrar la tapa, el proceso se reanudará.
Pero si retira los audífonos del cargador antes de que
finalice el proceso de limpieza, el temporizador se
reiniciará.
Cuando vuelva a insertar los audífonos y cierre la
tapa, se iniciará un nuevo ciclo de limpieza de 15
minutos.
