BELGUARD EHT

(ETHYLHEXYL TRIAZONE)
BELGUARD EHT (ETHYLHEXYL TRIAZONE) is a UVAII & UV-B filter that absorbs UV radiation to protect skin
from sunburn and its effects. It shows high absorptivity at 314nm. It is most effective oil soluble UVB filter
having excellent photo stability. It fits perfectly for water resistant formulations. Its polar nature gives it good
affinity to the keratin in the skin. Because of its high E1/1 value, only small concentrations are required in
cosmetic sun-care preparations, to achieve a high SPF value. It is used as an UV-B absorbing agent in
sunscreen creams, lotions, lipsticks and sun oils. It has good compatibility with other UV absorbers & also it
protects against free radicles.
