Important Information
• The admission process for the 2025-26 Academic session at Bankura Christian College
will be entirely online and managed solely by the college. As a minority institution, it is not
under the purview of the “Centralized Admission Process” of the Department of Higher
Education, Government of West Bengal.
• Only online applications and online payments are allowed. Online applications are invited
for admission to UG courses for the 2025-26 Academic session through our UG Admission
portal:

• Cost of Online Registration: Rs. 150.00 for each subject.
All fees must be paid by Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI only. The fees will not
be refundable under any circumstances. Do not wait till the last day to pay the fee to avoid
payment failure by the Bank or Payment Gateway.
• Admission to undergraduate courses for the 2025–26 academic year will be conducted
based on marks of the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in some subjects and
a combination of the Bankura Christian College Admission Test (BCCAT-2025) score and
marks of the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination for other subjects, as outlined
below.

• All applicants must fill out the online application form, regardless of whether admission is
based solely on Higher Secondary or equivalent examination marks, or on a combination
of the Bankura Christian College Admission Test (BCCAT-2025) score and Higher
Secondary or equivalent marks. There is no separate application form for admission
under any of these procedures.
• ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) ID is mandatory for online applications. For the creation
of the ABC ID, see www.abc.gov.in
• Applicants are strongly discouraged from visiting the college physically for inquiries or
any purpose other than appearing for BCCAT-2025. Entry to the college premises will not
be permitted under any circumstances. For queries, contact
[email protected]. Queries sent to other college email addresses
will not be entertained.
• No applications will be accepted after the deadline announced on the college website.
• The Income Certificate must be uploaded and presented during the verification of original
documents.
• If any candidate fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria as mentioned, his/her candidature will
automatically stand cancelled at any point in the admission process.
• For any queries, candidates must email the college only from their registered email
addresses. Emails from other addresses will not be considered. The Helpdesk email of the
college for admission-related queries is [email protected]. Queries
sent to other college email addresses will not be responded to.
• All communications from Bankura Christian College will be sent to the registered email
address and mobile number. Applicants must provide a valid mobile number and a
unique, valid email address (not a shared or public email, such as one from a cybercafé).
The college is not responsible for failure to receive communications due to incorrect, non-
existent, non-functional, or changed contact details or network interruptions.
• Applicants concerned are hereby informed that if they find any mistakes in their 'Online
Application Form' after successfully submitting the Application Form and making the
payment, they are advised to delete the incorrect data for their interest. They should log
in to the online admission portal using their username and password and click on 'Delete
Your Registration Data.' It is important to note that no corrections can be made after the
final submission of the application form. Therefore, necessary corrections should be made
before the final submission.
• Under no circumstances, the changes of the scheduled date and time of the admission
test(s) will be entertained.
The college authority, under unavoidable circumstances, may change the date and time
of any part of the schedule mentioned in this Admission Brochure. However, such changes
will be notified on the college website before 06:00 p.m. on the preceding day. Therefore,
all candidates are requested to check the website every day after 6:00 p.m. to ensure the
date and time.
Once the registration data is deleted, concerned applicants can submit a fresh
application form with the corrected data, and a new Registration Number will be
generated. It should be noted that deleted registration data will not be considered for
admission. However, the deletion of erroneous registration data and submission of a fresh
application should be completed within the last date of the online application.

2. Only regular candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary/equivalent examination
in 2025 or 2024 are be eligible to apply.
3. The information given by the applicants must be correct. Any discrepancy may result in
the cancellation of admission.

5. Candidates must check the date and time of their admission tests and be present at the
venue accordingly.
6. If any information like name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, category and date of
birth given in the application needs to be corrected, the rectification may be done by the
candidate only within the correction period.

• The syllabus of the Admission Test for each subject will have parity with the 10+2 level
syllabus of the subject concerned. (For instance, a candidate applying for the
Chemistry subject must take the Admission Test in Chemistry. The same applies to
English & Geography, except students applying for Botany, Zoology, and Physiology.)
Candidates applying for Botany, Zoology, and Physiology should consult the syllabus
of Biological Sciences of the 10+2 level. They must also take a common admission
test on Biological Sciences, making them eligible for admission in
Botany/Zoology/Physiology.
• For each subject, 90% of the questions will be based on the subject and 10% on
general awareness.
In every subject, there will be Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) with four answer options. There
will be 50 (fifty) questions in each subject, with 100 full marks, and the duration of the test will
be 60 (sixty) minutes.
• Candidates will respond to the questions by darkening the appropriate circle/ bubble
completely with a black ballpoint pen.

13. Scoring Methodology
The merit score will be calculated based on the aggregate marks of the top five
subjects (or four subjects, if applicable), excluding Environmental Studies, in the
Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
In other words, 40% of the marks obtained in the Admission Test in the subject concerned
and 60% of the marks in aggregate in the top four subjects (excluding Environmental
Studies) obtained in the HS/Equivalent examination, will be taken into consideration for
the preparation of the Merit List for Admission.
a. Candidates must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the
commencement of the test.
b. Candidates must be sure of the exact location of their examination centre to avoid
any inconvenience. Candidates are advised to occupy their seats at least 30
minutes before the commencement of the test.
c. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the test in any centre other than the one
allotted to him/her, as mentioned in the admit card.

e. Candidates cannot carry any written or printed material, calculator, log table,
wristwatch, smartwatch, or any communication device, like mobile, Bluetooth
device, etc., inside the examination hall. A candidate with such items will be
reported against, and his/her candidature will be summarily cancelled.
g. Candidates are asked to put their signature on the top of the Question Booklet as
instructed.
i. Candidates must write their names in BLOCK LETTERS and put their signatures in
appropriate places on the OMR. They must not put any stray mark anywhere else;
it may lead to rejection of the OMR.
j. The student must check that his/her Roll Number, photograph, and spelling of the
name on the attendance sheet match those given on the Admit Card.
k. The candidates are to check all the pages of the Question Booklet. If any page is
damaged or missing or if reading the Question Booklet is difficult, the invigilator
may be requested to replace it.
l. If any candidate is found adopting any unfair means during the examination,
his/her candidature will be cancelled, and / or he/she will be debarred either
permanently or for a period as is deemed fit by the competent authority. No
discussion will be allowed with the invigilator regarding any question.
m. No candidate will leave the hall till the end of the test and till all OMRs are collected
and tallied by the invigilator.
a. Model Answer Keys will be available on the college website. Candidates can view the
model answer keys on the website, www.bankurachristiancollege.in.
b. Candidates can also challenge any answer on payment of ₹ 100 (Rupees One hundred
only) per question plus the bank’s service charges, if any.
c. The college will review the challenges and act accordingly. The decision of the college
authority in this regard will be final and no further communication will be entertained.
d. Candidates can view the images of their OMRs and machine-read responses by logging
in with their passwords. Candidates should download and preserve copies of their OMRs.

17. Once an application is received, it will be construed that the candidate agrees to all the
terms and conditions, rules and regulations stipulated in the Admission Brochure and in
the relevant notice(s) published by the College for the said purpose.
18. Any application not complying with the conditions specified in the Admission Brochure is
liable to be rejected.
19. Appearing for the examination and obtaining a rank does not guarantee admission.
20. This Admission Test score (BCCAT-2025) will be valid only for the session 2025-26.
At the time of admission, candidates are required to pay (Approx) the following fees for 1st
Year (1st Sem & 2nd Sem):
❖ No money will be refunded for mistakes on the part of the candidate. However, if payment
is made twice for a particular reason, please contact the College Office after the
completion of the admission process. The decision of the college authority shall be final
regarding the refund of money. However, the deposited money will be adjusted for
change(s) of subject(s) in the subsequent merit lists, if any.
❖ The fees submitted by the students are provisional. If a situation arises, students may have
to submit the requisite fees as decided by the appropriate authority.
Modalities for admission to different hostels for the session 2025-26 will be tentatively
published on the college website after admission is commenced.
A list of candidates seeking admission to different hostels will be prepared based on their
marks in the HS/equivalent examination and at a minimum of 30 km distance between
the College and their permanent residence.

24. With regard to the interpretation of the provisions on any matter not covered for the
Admission Test (BCCAT-2025), the decision of the college authority shall be final and
binding on all concerned.

• After filling up the form, click PROCEED.
• Click OK to submit or Cancel to edit your entries.
• If you click FINAL SUBMIT, you cannot edit your application form. Thus, if you find all
information are correct, click FINAL SUBMIT. If not, then click EDIT FORM to edit.
You will receive your login ID and password via SMS.
• Upload the scanned copies of the following documents,

• Click “NEXT”. You will receive an OTP in your email. Enter the OTP in the provided space
and click 'Verify.' The 'OTP Matched' page will appear.
• Choose Subject(s) from “Choose your Subject(s)”.
• Click SUBMIT. The payment Details page will appear.
• Click Pay Online to complete the payment process of Registration Fee. A receipt will be
generated on successful registration fee payment, and your registration process will be
completed.
