Overview
The 2nd SPTA (School Parents-Teachers Association) Assembly took place on
April 10, 2025. This assembly aims to enhance communication between parents and
teachers, share important updates, and address community concerns.

Objectives
 To present the whole year’s financial report.
 To highlight SPTA and school accomplishments.
 To facilitate open discussion regarding school matters.

Assembly Highlights/Narrative

The assembly commenced at exactly 8:50 am with an Opening Prayer and


the singing of the National Anthem thru AVP and the Welcome Address from the
SPTA Adviser/School Principal follows.

1. Welcome Address
Mr. Weney P. Amores, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between
parents and teachers for the success of the students.

Sir Weney P. Amores also shared the essence of the assembly, emphasizing
“Collaboration for Success,” which encapsulates the shared responsibility of parents
and teachers in nurturing students’ growth. He encouraged attendees to view this
gathering not just as a meeting, but as an opportunity to build stronger connections
within the school community.

Sir Weney also reflected on the accomplishments of the past year, noting how
increased parental involvement has positively impacted student performance and
morale. He expressed gratitude to all parents, teachers, and staff for their unwavering
support and dedication.

To set the tone for the assembly, Sir Weney invited everyone to engage openly,
share their thoughts, and ask questions throughout the presentations. This inclusive
approach aimed to ensure that every voice was heard, reinforcing the idea that
collaboration leads to better outcomes for students.

2. Calling of Attendees by Grade and Section


Following the opening remarks, the assembly moved to the calling of attendees.
Ma’am Ruth P. Agalot, SPTA Coordinator, invited parents of each grade level to stand
as their sections were called, creating an atmosphere of unity and participation.

Starting with Grade 7, Ma’am Ruth called out Section Mercury, and two parents
proudly stood up, representing their children. Next, Section Venus was announced,
and seven parents rose, showcasing their commitment to the school community.

The process continued seamlessly with Grade 8. For Section Daisy, six parents
stood, followed by the ten parents from Section Rose, each one greeted with applause
from the audience, reinforcing the supportive environment.

As Grade 9 was called, Section Silver had four representatives, while Section
Gold had seven. The acknowledgment of each group fostered a sense of belonging
among the parents.

Moving to Grade 10, Section Galilei had thirteen parents standing, and Section
Einstein had a remarkable twenty-one, demonstrating strong parental involvement.

In Grade 11, Section Haleymenia had five parents stand up, and Section
Floridaea had six, reflecting their dedication to their children's education.
Finally, Grade 12 was called, with Section Halophila seeing ten parents rise,
followed by fourteen from Section Thalasia, rounding out the impressive attendance.

This moment not only recognized parental involvement but also set a positive
tone for the rest of the assembly.

3. Reading of the Previous Minutes


After the calling of attendees, the assembly proceeded to read the previous
minutes presented by the Secretary, Fielyn Mary E. Sagario.

She highlighted the major topics covered, such as updates on school programs,
financial reports, and the initiatives that were launched since the previous meeting.

As she read through the minutes, Fielyn emphasized the collaborative efforts
between parents and teachers, noting how these discussions had led to successful
events and improvements in student engagement. She also took a moment to remind
everyone of the suggestions made by parents in the last meeting, which had been
addressed over the past months.

This segment reinforced the importance of transparency and accountability within


the SPTA, ensuring that everyone was on the same page as the assembly moved
forward. Fielyn’s thorough presentation set a positive tone for the discussions to follow,
encouraging active participation from all attendees.

4. Presentation on the Current Agenda


Following the reading of the previous minutes, Secretary Fielyn Mary E. Sagario
smoothly transitioned to presenting the current agenda for the assembly.

With a clear and organized approach, Fielyn outlined each item that would be
discussed, ensuring everyone understood what to expect. She began by stating the
purpose of the assembly and how the agenda was structured to facilitate meaningful
discussions.

The agenda included the following key points:

a. Whole Year Financial Report and Liquidation - Presented by Treasurer Edwin


Damo-ag, detailing the financial status and budget allocations.

b. SPTA Accomplishment Report - Delivered by President Edwin Alastra,


highlighting the initiatives and successes of the SPTA over the past year.

c. School Accomplishment Report - Shared by SPTA Coordinator Ruth Agalot,


focusing on academic and extracurricular achievements.

d. State of the School Address - Presented by Principal Weney Amores,


discussing the school's vision and future plans.

e. Open Forum for Other Matters, Issues, and Concerns - An opportunity for
parents to voice concerns and suggestions.
With the agenda established, Fielyn concluded her presentation, handing the
floor back to Mr Edwin for his Financial Report, thus maintaining the assembly's
momentum.

Presenter: Edwin Damo-ag (Treasurer)

Edwin presented the financial report through Power Point Presentation detailing:
 Total income generated from fundraisers for the whole year is p115,070.00 with
the breakdown of:

 A transparent overview of the budget for the previous and upcoming year was
presented clearly and parents were encouraged to ask questions, leading to a
constructive discussion on financial planning.

b. SPTA Accomplishment Report


Presenter: Edwin Alastra (President)

Edwin highlighted key accomplishments of the SPTA, including:


 Successful organization of community events.
 Increased parental involvement in school activities.
 Initiatives that enhanced communication between parents and teachers.
Parents expressed gratitude for their efforts and shared suggestions for future
activities.
 And most especially, the president presented his plan to make SPTA Project of
20 pcs. Plastic Chairs to be used in different school events. He asked for the
parents’ approval to allocate the remaining balance for this and explained to
them that this is very helpful/useful for the school. Fortunately, all parents
agreed.
 In conclusion of his presentation, President Edwin Alastra expressed heartfelt
gratitude to all parents, teachers, and staff for their unwavering support and
active participation throughout the year. He emphasized that the
accomplishments of the SPTA were not just individual successes but a collective
achievement that reflected the dedication of the entire school community.

c. School Accomplishment Report


Presenter: Ruth P. Agalot (SPTA Coordinator)

Ruth provided an overview of the school’s academic and extracurricular


achievements through PPT, such as:
 Improvements in student performance.
 Highlights of successful events like sports day and cultural festivals such as:
 School Intramural Meet
 Mr. & Miss Intramural
 DFOT (District Festival of Talents) / Cultural Festivals
 Science Fair
 Math Olympiad/Math Games Day
 Math Camp
 Parent’s Day
 Community Service
 Graduation Ceremonies

Parents celebrated these achievements and discussed ways to further support


school initiatives.

d. State of the School Address


Presenter: Weney Amores (School Principal)

As the assembly settled into a respectful silence, Principal Weney Amores


stepped forward to deliver the much-anticipated State of the School Address. With a
warm smile, he began by acknowledging the gathering of parents, teachers, and
students, emphasizing the vital role each person plays in the school community.

Importance of Education to Produce Quality Graduates


Principal Amores opened his address by underscoring the importance of
education in shaping the future. He passionately articulated that education is the
foundation for producing quality graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also
equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in a competitive world. He highlighted how
the school's commitment to academic excellence has consistently resulted in students
who are prepared for higher education and the workforce.

Students as Hope of the Nation


Transitioning to a broader perspective, he reminded everyone that students are
the hope of the nation. "Our young learners carry the dreams of our future," he said,
urging the community to nurture and support their growth. He stressed that investing in
their education is an investment in the country’s future, and each student has the
potential to make a significant impact on society.

Thanking for the Excellent Service of Teachers


Principal Amores took a moment to express his heartfelt gratitude to the teachers
for their unwavering dedication and excellent service. He acknowledged their hard work,
especially during challenging times, and highlighted how their commitment significantly
contributes to the school’s success. "Our teachers are the backbone of this institution,"
he stated, inviting applause from the audience in recognition of their efforts.

Free and Fast Services


He then shifted focus to the administrative improvements that have been
implemented, particularly regarding the efficiency of school services. "We are proud to
offer free and fast services for claiming diplomas, school cards, certifications, and other
school forms," he announced. This initiative, he explained, aims to alleviate the burdens
on parents and students, making essential processes smoother and more accessible.

Plans for the Future


Looking ahead, Principal Amores shared his plans for the school's development.
He discussed upcoming classroom repairs to ensure a conducive learning environment,
improvements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance digital
learning, and the expansion of the Reading and Numeracy Program to support
foundational skills. "These initiatives are crucial for providing our students with the tools
they need to succeed," he emphasized.

Asking Parents for Guidance and Support


In closing, Principal Amores turned to the parents, urging them to remain actively
involved in their children’s education. "Your guidance and support are invaluable," he
said earnestly. He encouraged parents to engage with their children’s learning journeys,
fostering open communication and encouraging academic curiosity at home.

As he concluded his address, the audience erupted in applause, moved by his


vision of the school and the future of its students. Principal Amores left them inspired,
reinforcing the collective responsibility of educators, parents, and the community in
shaping a brighter future for the nation’s youth.

e. Open Forum
The assembly concluded with an open forum where attendees voiced concerns, but
luckily only 1 question was raised and it was answered and explained clearly by Ma’am
Iresh Duran and Ma’am Ruth P. Agalot, both are school heads

 Suggestions for improving academic support.


Parents appreciated the opportunity to share their thoughts, fostering a sense of
community.

5. Closing Remarks
The assembly ended with closing remarks from Ma’am Shenly Rose J. Mosende
a BOD Representative, summarizing key takeaways and encouraging continued
collaboration. Parents were reminded of the importance of their involvement in the
school community.

6. Conclusion

The 2nd SPTA Assembly was a productive and engaging event, providing a
platform for meaningful dialogue between parents and school staff. The insights gained
will guide future activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing educational experience for
all students.

It was concluded by a closing prayer led by one of the BOD Representative


Ma’am Desiree Jade P. Datoylayta and was formally adjourned by the SPTA Adviser at
exactly 10:34 a.m.
