Legends Unchained +one Sauce Tips + 5.68 FW 5-2025
Legends Unchained +one Sauce Tips + 5.68 FW 5-2025
(Note: Since 9/1/23, if you updated AtGames firmware to 5.71+, then you may have lost CoinopsX (on
5.70 addonX menu was broken), and One Sauce may no longer work. (though later, people found One
sauce & addonX still work after running Scripter fixes). But Legends Unchained continues to work!)
**WARNING: During Legends Unchained Upgrade/Install process: “Bricking” our units was possible, so
YMMV (in 2023); LU states this up front while you are installing it. See post in Reddit by AbyssAzi on his
units being bricked. He is a very experienced Arcade owner who owns ALU, Gamer pros and core Max.
But LU r-cade install has caused him problems with all his equipment. So, when you install this you do it
at your own risk! This is one reason to take every step slowly and deliberately. In the middle of the
update process, if it is not making a backup or something else important, and it looks like the install is
hanging for more than 30 minutes to an hour on the colorful Pacman R-Cade screen, then you “might”
and “should” be able to unplug the unit and restart it. But the longer we wait the better to avoid bricking
our Arcades. Never interrupt any process of the installation, and pray we never have a power outage
while doing an update. If you successfully installed this, then it Might be best to avoid more updates
after your most recent update (currently 2.04 or later) if everything is already working great.
(Having Stated all this risk: I was able to attempt this Legends Install procedure 4 times successfully
without bricking the core unit for Gamer Pros. Just take steps slowly, use the best media “Samsung Fit
Plus” usb 3.1 flash drives or SSD, and/or a powered Sabrent 4 switch or Anker USB powered hub).
Old note: the worst thing that happened to me when upgrading from 1.0.8 install was, I could not get
past the “applying update do not unplug, please be patient" screen. I gave up and voluntarily re-flashed
1.1.1 update directly to my USB drive using RUFUS on a windows pc, but then I lost 35+GB of game files
during reflash upgrade, since it stated both partitions would be erased. So, I had to re-make my game
drive all over again over many hours across my home network.)

11/24 --- 4/25 -- Legends Unchained 2.0.5 --- UPDATE (past updates were on 7/24, 11/24, new 4/25;
currently at version 2.0.5 from 4/25; 2.05 has more improvements but it may change your old settings!)

features of update). – Also, if anything major changed from 1.1.1 then some of the details of the guide
below might be outdated…. I may not have updated every detail in this guide below with more “new tips
for LU 2.0.” e.g. Better & easier Light Gun Support, Bezel resizing feature, 4K 60fps video playback,
Trackball & DC control issues. But Control Issue was reported fixed soon after a 2.01 patch update:

7/2023 1.1.1 – Update Resolved all issues found in 1.1.0 and added many more features.
I assume this is a great update that fixed the PlayStation control issues. “Fixes automatic setting of single-
joystick mapping for PlayStation”; Before this update A PS1 Game needed you to go into metadata and
change the joystick setting to d-pad…. Then the PS control setting takes effect for all PSX games. I assume
it is all good now.
The new update also added more compatibility to SSD drives, and more Bit LCD related updates. Added
support for Legends Core Max. New Game and System options in the menu have been moved around.
6/2023 1.1.0 -- recent big update -- full rebuild of image, but PlayStation Game controls stopped
working, so may need reconfiguring in retro arch settings: "although the buttons worked, the controls
didn't, try to change 'Assign single joystick as' to 'DPAD' in the metadata setting. A global setting may be
needed to get all games to work."
3/2023 1.09 -- good update -- I stayed on this until PlayStation control issue was fixed in 1.1.1 (R-cade
version 1.1.0 PS controls issue).
2/2023 1.08 image – The First file that I started with: RCade-Full-HA8801.img.xz
Release R-CADE v1.0.8 Update - 4K Retro-Gaming Media Center · retro-center/rcade_releases · GitHub
There is a v 1.08 800mb full iso image to put on a flash drive. and a newer 1.09 update 300mb file. But
I'm Unsure if "First timers" have to start with older v 1.08 and then use the update file? (I later found it
might be ok to just download the latest “update” image and then copy/paste on our flash drive with
PC.). If upgraded from previous firmware, I am not sure how to update it manually without doing the
internet online update. However, sometimes online LU updates do not work, and you risk corrupting
your R-Cade usb drive and you may have to rebuild all your games again – my worst experience so far.
Here's a video of how it looks when you upgrade from a previous version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3NHbQE2DwI
The system backup-part was the most time-consuming part, it took 1hr 35 min. And patience to
install with potential hangs on Pacman R-cade screen and multiple required reboots. Though, I
had one bad experience where it would not update, and I decided to start all over. But on
Discord, Mr.fixit mentioned if the install does not complete, then you can manually move the
update files on the first partition of flash drive with a PC. “When this happens, sometimes a hard
reset can resolve. But other times it will leave you without a rootfs. If you have let the 1.5 hr. backup run,
then the system might have detected a failed upgrade and is trying to revert. In any event - if you’re stuck
at a no boot or a never-ending upgrade, for a rootfs upgrade like this you can manually download the
8801 upgrades from the GitHub releases, extract it, and copy over all its contents to your boot drive
using a desktop. If the file “rootfs.upgrade” exists - *delete* it. Then plug it in and you’re upgraded. (So, I
did not know how to extract upgrade contents manually. I ended up using the rufus program to re-flash
my USB with new update instead of manually moving upgrade files to my flash drive, but my games were
erased. These problems occurred on a Samsung Bar plus drive. Samsung Fit Plus usb drives seems to
work best. But I eventually got Samsung Bar plus working fine with LU after a repeat install.)
TIPS TO GET STARTED with Legends Unchained: **************************
*** 1. To Transfer Game roms to R-CADE, the easiest way is to do it across your local Home
Network Shares. Navigate on a Windows PC to Explorer or Computer, And Type: \\rcade\share\
roms.
(you should see folders of all the systems you can import roms to... but some systems may need
Bios Files imported to \\rcade\share\bios or some other folder. e.g., Atari5200, atari800, etc.)
***Transfer Game roms(cont’d)… Alternatively, you can use A 2nd USB flash drive to move all
game roms to (after you first setup a 2nd usb drive within the LU system settings.) 2nd drive is
"easier to move files from your source Game roms directly" since the drive is visible on a
Windows PC file system: This is a better method if we are having trouble moving files across the
network, (but this method requires 2 flash drives). Or use new built-in Mame game downloader.
Game Roms must be owned for copyright purpose, but people just get roms downloaded from
googling the web from different sites like archive, from One Sauce collection, or extracted from
COX UCE files… also R-Cade Game packs and bios files by the Chefs of Coinopsx were posted on
archive.org https://archive.org/search?query=r-cade+TechZombie
(Note: some MAME games do not run, so try another mame core or a different rom. Default is
MAME 2003-Plus but there may be several games in the package which need a different core.)
*2a. Many times, R-Cade will be better than COX and OneSauce for compatibility to play more games
and ability to run them faster, with less audio lag and less control lag than the other 2 (sometimes the
opposite is true if you don’t know how to configure emulator settings). But the previous 2 systems will be
easier plug & play. You will have the choice to stay on this Frontend Loader or reboot back into Stock
AtGames interface with a reboot. (This is if you want to go back to playing stock games, COX5, One
Sauce, OTG, or AtGames Ecosystem game purchases.)
**2b. Moonlight is another new feature that gives us the option to play games from PC streaming.
So, play “PC Steam games, or emulators from a PC”. This is A great feature offered by Legends Unchained
and One Sauce v2…. was reviewed to work better than stock AtGames streaming. I have tried it on a
Gamer pro, and it streams VPX pinball well if you have a wired connection or excellent wifi connection
and speed on your devices connected to home network (if connections are not fast enough, then games
might have lag or lost frames; also, in moonlight.sh set to default -720p instead of -1080p; moonlight.sh
is found in One Sauce in appdata\retrofe\scripts)(unsure for LU?). Setup requires an Nvidia 1060 but
preferably much better e.g. Nvidia 1660, 2060 or better. And your Windows PC is required to install and
run Apollo or Sunshine. Apollo is mentioned to work better than Sunshine at converting a 120hz/144hz
or higher laptop screen to a 60hz ALU or HDTV with less lag and stutter. (Scorpio said that Moonlight
works much better than Atgames BYOG legends streaming, and walknight says it’s like wireless OTG.
***3. Screen Retroarch Shader Settings can be accessed on Mame Arcade & some console games. ***
- In game especially for Arcade games, you can change and save Core overrides for the game or core, in
Quick menu (after you modify Retroarch Shaders:
(unsure if this was correct >> Push Rewind button, and set Game resolution: 1280x720)
So, if you want your settings to stay next time, then you must Save Core Overrides in Quick Menu.
-In game you can also change the Video Scaling Settings. Go to Quick Menu by pressing
>> Hotkey + A -> Settings -> Video -> Scaling -> Integer Scale. (note: Settings menu is outside of
Quick Menu in Main Menu, and there you can find Video and Scaling settings. I LIKE setting Scaling
to OFF, and Integer Scale Overscale to OFF, and Aspect Ratio to Core provided. But game play
screen may not fill out the Bezel. However, the games will appear with better aspect ratio with scan
lines; image won’t be overblown or stretched too large. But Rarely, Scaling ON is better.)
Note: If picture appears shifted to the right behind bezels, then set Viewport Anchor Bias X = 0.50.
- Finally go back to Quick menu and save core override otherwise these settings will not be saved
for the next game:
>> Hotkey + A -> Quick Menu -> Overrides -> Save Core Overrides. (for the Core or specific
Game)
(Note: I used above settings for a smaller 32” 1080p HDTV; Maybe these are also ok on ALU cabs.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 12/26/23 For Gamer Pros, hooked up to larger HDTV screens, the aspect ratio seemed off
or squished, etc. for many games, and I had to set up different custom Arcade Game Video settings
separately for Vertical aspect games and Horizontal aspect games. (E.g. For Gamer pro connected
to a larger HDTVs e.g. 46” 1080p HDTV I made these settings.)
Vertical Aspect Games > Integer Scale OFF (or try ON?), Aspect Ratio: CUSTOM
Horizontal Aspect Games > Integer Scale OFF (or try ON?), Aspect Ratio: CUSTOM
(Occasionally, I would use different numbers for some Horizontal games e.g.

**4c. R-Cade is based on Emulation Station {ES}, so you can read the documentation about more
features that could make our experience better. >> https://retropie.org.uk/docs/EmulationStation/
***5a. Cover Artwork Bezels, and videos must be Scraped/downloaded within the system, but
it can be time consuming and sometimes doesn't find all the games or the correct image
artwork. Bezels can be downloaded within LU settings, and it searches automatically. (I've tested
many Mame arcade, SNES, and some Genesis games showing the bezels, but not sure of
Dreamcast, PS1, N64 and others yet.) The Chefs made a Mame game pack with bezels included
for all the arcade games on Archive org. But you have to First make sure bezels have already
been downloaded via Legends Unchained menu:
P1-button -> Game Settings -> Retroarch Settings -> Download Bezels -> Mame
This automatically sets up needed folder and .cfg's at \\rcade\share\thebezelproject\ArcadeBezels
*One person also ported realistic bezels from ‘PC Coinops Collections’ to use in LU, with
instructions here. >> https://archive.org/details/bezels_202302
***Another person shared a great video of the Skraper tool running on PC to help get
professional looking screenshots and video previews – looks good! >>
https://youtu.be/yPCH3NeVoUw?si=4DLWKlKe_6ovx3F6
According to one reddit user, he was able to Scrape “videos”, with Skraper. But I have not tried
that yet. https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendsUltimate/comments/16ul1ew/unchained_on_57/
** And another user created a helpful script or instructions to help direct Skraper to place each game
entry’s videos and images in the correct folder within Legends Unchained:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendsUltimate/comments/10z3fh6/
making_legends_unchained_work_with_skraper/ (Make sure the gameslist.xml has all the
correct navigation data of Videos)
**IMPORTANT NOTE: You can choose “how to view your games” in UI SETTINGS.
Just navigate with P1 button and then UI SETTINGS > GAMELIST VIEW STYLE is default set to
AUTOMATIC. But you can change it to “VIDEO, DETAILED, or GRID” to see videos play for all the
games which have been scraped for videos and have a good layout with details; or keep BASIC.
**Taken from LU Guide about Bezels: RCade has experimental support for bezels from The
Bezel Project. To download bezels, hit P1 to access the R-Cade Menu, choose Game Settings,
RetroArch Settings, Download Bezels. Select the system you want to install bezels for and wait
for them to download (MAME will take a while). Once downloaded, supported games will have
bezel artwork and the game will be resized to fit inside the bezel. Unsupported games -disable bz
Currently, bezel integration is a global setting. Future versions will allow enabling/disabling
bezels at the system/game level. To disable bezels, hit P1 to access the R-Cade Menu, choose
Game Settings, RetroArch Settings, and change the bezels option to off.
Some games have wrong bezels, so You can also change the Bezels in Retroarch Quick menu
game settings. You just scroll through the listing where it says On-Screen Overlay settings to
change bezel for a game. After fixing bezels then save it in Overrides as single game override.

*6a. *Overclock settings might be buggy, e.g., "extreme" may crash it. To access, Push P1 button,
and system settings\Boot settings. On the most recent LU R-Cade updates, I seem to be able to
overclock without issues on Low 1.2ghz maybe if using a Powered USB hub with my Gamer pro;
But overclocking higher in general has adverse effects. Currently, without a powered hub on my
Gamer pro, I did have issues where my controller stopped responding. But issues would go
away if I went back to no overclocking & rebooted. Note: On the oldest 1.08 R-cade, after
extreme overclock, I was not able to restart LU Rcade unless I manually change es_setings cfg
overclock setting back to default. On this old R-cade, retroarch.cfg became corrupt and I lost
my controls. A backup es_settings cfg file was able to bring back working controls. So, not
much benefit OC’ing.
*6b. Basic Game Start Up and Exit instructions: To Start Games, just use joystick to navigate menu,
push ‘A’ Button to select game and game should startup. To Exit games, push ‘P1 + AtGames HotKey’
buttons simultaneously.
*6c. On a Gamer Pro and other AtGames devices, you might want to back up your Retroarch Configs
folder. Navigate to: \\rcade\share\configs\retroarch and you should find retroarch.cfg. This was only
a problem in the first LU_RCADE version but was fixed in v1.09 update in March/April, 2023. So, the
retroarch control settings could become corrupt or lost and you can't use your joystick and buttons in
Mame, Genesis, SNES, etc. But non-retroarch games like DC & N64 worked fine. (This problem may have
been fixed on later updates)
In the past LU versions, Update v1.09 has since Fixed this >> R-CADE v1.0.9 Update - 4K Retro-Gaming
Media Center : r/LegendsUltimate (reddit.com)
**** Main Selling Point of LU: LU has Advantages over COINOpsX 5: to play a little more power-hungry
systems - DC, PS1, N64, Atomis Wave, Naomi and “arcade” Mame/FBneo games with less audio lag &
faster performance & play more console and computer systems overall…. Even NES, SNES, and
Megadrive may benefit. You can Stream PC emulator Games at a reasonable quality using MoonLight
feature. You can do other things with KODI like watch tv, movies, etc. You choose which games you
want to import into your custom collection. But, OneSauce also has Moonlight in its retrofe menu &
works better than LU v2.04 (LU had more lag on older 5.68 fw so try One Sauce – Moonlight).
Disadvantages of LU: You must provide your own game roms and build the game library & for some
games, scrape artwork and bezels from the ground up. But see Archive org for Chef’s Mame, FBneo,
n64, snes, genesis, gba, etc game pack files to get started with game collections & bezels. Note: Many
Unsupported games will have poor bezel implementation and may need to deactivate bezels e.g. The
game screen is sometimes cropped by the wrong bezels. Each game must be tested to determine if
bezels are functioning properly…not sure how to completely fix some of these games.)
Also, some Arcade games run better on fbneo core compared to mame cores, so more custom set up of
games, and game testing is required. More Experienced retroarch, emulation station users may find this
process more manageable and easier to set up.
Comparisons of LU vs OneSauce vs Cox

7. On Bootup, Sometimes Legends Will Not Bootup, or get stuck on the first screen. This could be the
media is at fault, or connection is not fast enough due to USB hub not functioning at 100%, or
overheating, or it might be due to CoinopsX drive also being connected. You can try again and reboot
without CoinopsX plugged in or change the hardware e.g. to a “powered” USB hub, or BT Controls.
8. ** Alternative Faster Game Rom File Transfer Method (I never tried this procedure – so it is optional!)
SSH/Linux Command method: (using a game drive eg. OneSauce drive)
- ssh into the RCADE machine when it is running. These steps require Linux commands.
- ssh using the following command ssh root@RCADE (default password is retro) when the Unchained
machine is fully up.
- put One saUCE USB stick in the USB 2.0 port. I perform a "fdisk -l" (L) to see what device matches my
One saUCE drive. On my machine it is /dev/sda1. You look for the Type of "HPFS/NTFS". The Unchained
drive will show as two partitions, one Win95 Fat32, and Linux, so don't use that drive.
- Next step is to mount the USB drive so you can see the files. type "mkdir /media/usb-drive". This will
create the folder name you can use to access those files from One saUCE. It can be called anything you
want. Now mount the drive with the command "mount /dev/sda1 /media/usb-drive/". Now show the
contents of the drive with the "ls /media/usb-drive". If it mounted correctly, you should see folders like
"ALU_Performance", "Gamer_Performance", "No_Boost", content, "ha8800_screensaver", etc...
-You now can copy files from your One saUCE drive directly to your Unchained drive without any need
for a network. This will be the fastest way to copy files. This could also be good to restore files as well if
you must create a clean image of Unchained. Just use the Linux copy command "cp". You can use the -r
with cp to do recursive copies of folders.
- When you are all finished it is good to unmount the drive so that any cached copies will be forced to
complete. Type the command "umount /media/usb-drive".
- There are more advanced options for doing this, and it can be referenced from the links below:
How to mount USB drive in Linux - Mount command usage example (linuxconfig.org)
****The One saUCE drive or in fact any NTFS drive could be used in this manner to quickly transfer files
instead of having to do it via the network.)

****Note: Gamer Pros with Core puck may require External powered USB HUB for HDD or SSD to load
up One Sauce v2. This may also apply to other Atgames devices…not sure about ALUs.
-We have the choice to go back and forth between 2 Collections: (and 3 if you count L.Unchained)
2) Plug in a drive with this better ambitious 760 to 940+GB OneSauce v2 build on any ALU device. It is
supposed to be easier to run than CoinopsX (since it doesn't require partitioning a flash drive with
format fat32 & formatting 2nd partition to exFat, and running Addonx Tool to make Cox drive playable) .
One Sauce only requires formatting a drive to NTFS standard format, put 760+gb of One Sauce data on
the drive. (v1 needed system based scripter files, but v2 has easier plug-n-play universal scripters.)
Note: I can access both Cox and One Sauce simultaneously, going back and forth easily. But sometimes
usb drive is not recognized when plugged into hub. A power reboot is usually required if Drive is not
recognized. I also plug One Sauce into a USB Hub’s first usb input near cord, and coinopsx in last usb
input furthest away from cord. Recently I found a Powered USB hub helps.
==================================================================
***In One Sauce, Arcade Game Audio lag can be fixed if you go into Retroarch config file and override
the audio latency setting; add 128 seconds so the audio does not lag behind the action. (default setting
is either 0 or 100, forgot, but change it so audio latency is improved.).
In retroarch.cfg: Find this line
audio_device = ""
change that to
audio_device = "hw:2,0"
audio_latency = "128"
**note these setting may cause emulators DC, PS1, PSX from overclocking at the fastest performance &
Arcade games might also run with slight performance issues at the price of fixing audio lag; but unsure &
more testing is needed; Unless audio lag bothers you, this change may not be necessary for some

It seems it was using an old core that was customized for the stock retroplayer.
You can change the core by editing retrofe/launchers.linux/Commodore 64.conf as the following:

Issues with One Sauce v1 & v2: Not always A perfect playable experience due to cpu hardware
limitations, e.g. most N64, PSP, Nintendo DS, and other games run choppy. But Dreamcast & PS1 games
play better, and Amiga & Panasonic3DO play fine. It has very large collections of games for many older
systems, but it still lacks the very advanced demanding PS3, PS2, GameCube, Wii, Wii u, Switch games
since the hardware is not powerful enough. You will need a beefy specs PC +GPU to run those systems.;
--I recently found Retroarch video Shader and Audio Latency settings might slow performance in
Dreamcast and PS1, so you may need to reverse those settings along with removing scanline shaders etc.
(need to test more). Other Computer systems may need much more configuring, since many games do
not load up.
--On My One Sauce v2 & v1, AMIGA games became corrupt and only display white screen. I was
guessing the source of the problem might have been it needed a faster usb 3.0 hub, so it seemed to
work after I used a name brand Sabrent usb 3.0 hub. But later the problem came back, and I found
Amiga games required you to update the whdload xml to get AMIGA games working ******.
https://www.reddit.com/r/FansOfsaUCE/comments/1ghbmgx/amiga_games_working/
So, I finally figured out the Amiberry setting to fix the white screen & get games working! ... this should
help with most Amiga games. I figured this out by watching this video on youtube for Amiberry settings
and if you have internet access on your Atgames device, push the middle swirl button to bring up
Amiberry settings. Go under Paths > scroll to the bottom and push "Update WHDLoad XML".
This made the Amiga games work and be compatible to run…... see 29min 30 seconds in video>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81bNAS19OFs (I have not fully tested all 2700+ games, so some
may have issues with controls, input etc., or require more configuring).
Another general note for Computer Games: some computer systems may "NOT" exit with rewind button
+ Home button press. So, you will need a keyboard connected for those.
For example, Commodore AMIGA uses a different emulator than other games running on retroarch, so it
requires a keyboard and to press F12 to access AMIGA Amiberry emulator menu; then you must navigate
down with the Joystick and scroll down to quit or shutdown the emulator. (Atgames button works also.)

III. Unrelated to One Sauce. There were problems with many AtGames devices when controllers stop
working:
1) If you lose responsive controls, no activity from buttons or joystick then you may have a
CTRL board that has gone bad, or it has an MCU firmware that became corrupt from power
reboots. There were fixes posted on Reddit for ALU cabinets, Gamer Pros, Gamer Minis, and
ALP. But I've never seen it posted for ALU mini. So, if you need an MCU fix, here are the links

***Recently in Fall of 2024 the most recent Firmware was renamed 50.7 instead of 5.70. But I suspect it
is probably the same firmware with a new name, or maybe only some minor bug fixes. Hardly anything
new has been updated in the past year. So being on 5.68 or 5.70 is still ok. And avoid newest FW: CE user

3) (Maybe) Issues with being on Firmware 5.70 or later: e.g. “CoinopsX or AddonX - not all working?”:
CoinopsX & AppstoreX will be removed & no longer work if we update to the opt-in firmware 5.71. So,
avoid the “opt in” 5.71. CoinopsX “spinning wheel menu” is mostly working on the online updated 5.70,
but AddonX menu was broken and may not work for most UCE files. But recently it was shared that
addonX UCE games do work after running One Sauce Scripter. But it’s still best NOT to UPDATE past
5.68 (stay on 5.68 or older) so you can boot from AddonX menu like before without scripters. It is
suspected this permission handling was added due to AtG-ecosystem expanding to more gaming
companies that want to sell games in AtG-ecosystem e.g. Zen Games Pinball FX for ALP, Atari games etc.
**old Workaround Patched UCE Game Packs so addon or AddonX work for some game files on 5.70.

patched_set_of_uces_for_firmware_570_and_linux/ OR simply run One Sauce Scripter, and this allows
old UCE games to run under addonx.
**And older One Sauce v1 is reported to work on 5.70 for people with new “scripter fixes” found on
Fans of sauce reddit. (But new scripters are no longer needed If on latest 2024 One Sauce v2.0 build.)
***In 2024, People were reassuring us that being on 5.70 is no longer a bad thing vs 5.68, since more
people are getting away from Coinopsx and turning to One Sauce, and Legends Unchained, or another
game source. (And it was discovered One Sauce Scripter allows addonx to work). But I prefer to stay on
5.68 since I don’t want to break the old Coinopsx files from loading up like before… it only prevents
addonX menu and addon menu from working properly with loading up UCE game files from CoinopsX
in a faster way, if you still like playing UCE game files from past years. I like having more power and
control to run these game sources without any new workarounds. So, it’s your choice, and ok to move on
to 5.70 since you can still use addonX UCE games after running the One Sauce scripter. The old Coinopsx
has a few rare titles like Donkey Kong Mods, and maybe control configs are preset up on arcade games,
and console game controls may be more easily programmed on Coinopsx vs LU or One Sauce emulation
station/retroarch. Just Note: be sure you are ok updating to 5.70 without any regrets, 😊 since

NEW ALU CE HD firmware 12/2024 added a new graphical Interface, but they now have a PAYWALL –
So, THEY ARE charging $100 for OTG capability and using external applications. OTG used to be a free

August 2024
Legends Unchained 2.0 – received an update for the first time recently. Added lightgun support etc – but
there may be some issues to read up on e.g. control configuration for some games.
One Sauce 2.0 is the latest new big game library update and has been out since 2024.
- So, LU and One Sauce continue being the best alternatives to CoinopsX for adding more games
moving on into the future.
- Recently in October/November, nextcloud links were removed or stopped working, so all our
Atgames device Firmware are no longer downloadable from official sources. You will have to
search on archive org for backup files. So, 5.68 was only available for ALU and Gamer pro, but
recently since 1/2025 I re-uploaded the missing 5.68 files for most other devices on archive org
(thanks to the guys at One Sauce for originally archiving them). 5.60 to 5.65 was also made for
most devices years ago on archive org.
- MCU control deck panel fixes are also on archive org for ALU 1.1, 1.2, (and maybe same can be
used for latest CE model) and MCU also available for Legends Gamer Pro and Gamer Mini.
(But people must share an MCU file for other Atgames Devices such as: ALU mini or ALP.)
Other Notes:
(In previous years e.g. 2022/2021 and earlier, we used to commonly find ALU cabinets and Atgames
Pinball HD sold at local vendors like Sams Club, Walmart, Kohls, and Atgames online at great discounted
prices. And the Gamer Mini and Gamer pro was sometimes found at GameStop, Walmart, vipoutlet…
Fortunately these are still found online in local markets and USED on eBay, face book, or craiglist. And
currently Sams, Kohls, and Atgames online site are the only places you can find these products being sold
new. And ebay and local sellers are the best ways to get a hold of the smaller less expensive Atgames
Gamer devices.)
Most new developments by Atgames are being made for the Pinball 4k and ALU CE, while hardly
anything new is being developed for Pinball HD and Gamer series control products.
2-10-2025: Moonlight UCE app has been made so you can stream your PC to Atgames ALU and Gamer
devices without LU or One Sauce. But this UCE app requires you to be on firmware 5.70 (So I was unable
to use it). Moonlight Feature details below:
To use Moonlight on older firmware I prefer using it on Moonlight in One Sauce v2 e.g. when running
firmware 5.68… (5.70 firmware was noted to work fine.). I tested it to work better on One Sauce
compared to LU v2.04 Moonlight for VPX & FP since older LU v2.04 Moonlight may “not” have hwdec
activated any more. This is why One Sauce Moonlight may be working better than LU moonlight if you
are not on latest LU…Update: LU 2.05 fixed Moonlight in this new update. (LU 1.1.1 Moonlight used to
also work well; However, on KODI media player, Daddylive iptv addon stopped working on v2.05. (Not
sure if this is only happening for me or is it a known issue to be fixed for next update?)

See One Sauce: Dreamcast and N64 control configurations (Next page)
Most N64 games require analog controls. To modify controls, here is what I changed:
Go to Controls > Port1 controls and change each setting respectively to the following:
Analog to Digital Type ----Left Analog or Left Analog forced. (not sure if this setting does anything)
Now Controls for N64 should work about as good as One Sauce v1.
Do the same changes to Port2, so 2 player games will work. The Final step to make things "permanent
for all N64 games" is to go into:
Manage Remap files: and Save Core Remap File. (Note: For games that require Dpad buttons, you will be
without those---so this will ruin your N64 experience. N64 is not well supported by One Sauce anyways,
just experimental play.)
-----Similarly for Dreamcast, Controls must be configured to allow joysticks to control analog directions
controls. And that configuration uses a different interface to change settings. See discord for ideas.
e.g. You may need a keyboard and arrow key to navigate. Go to Settings and choose Controls tab.
Make sure these are set:
Analog Dream cast directions to Atgames joystick directions (maybe like N64 above – I don’t remember):
Atgames up ----->Control Stick Y-,
Atgames right ----->Control Stick X+ .\And make sure A, B, X, and Y and shoulder buttons or R and L
triggers are configured. There are not enough buttons, so I sacrificed some like Dreamcast dpad left
