Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to inform you that swimming classes will continue to be an integral part of our Physical Education curriculum for
all grade levels in the Upper School this academic year. This program, which has been part of our curriculum for many years,
aims to equip our students with essential swimming skills, promote physical fitness, and foster water safety awareness.

To ensure a smooth process, please take note of the following guidelines:

Swimming Class Protocol:

1. Schedule: The specific schedule for swimming classes will be communicated to you by your child's Subject Teacher.
Please ensure your child is prepared for their swimming lessons.
2. Required Attire: To ensure safety and uniformity, students are required to wear appropriate swimming attire.

Below is a table detailing the acceptable attire for boys and girls:

3. Prohibited Attire:
○ Maong Shorts and Shorts with Metal: These can cause damage to the pool's filtration system and pose a
safety hazard.
○ Cotton Sandos and Shirts: Cotton absorbs water and becomes heavy, hindering swimming performance
and posing a drowning risk.
○ Underwear: Not designed for swimming, they can cause hygiene issues and are inappropriate for the pool
environment.
4. Non-Participation Protocol: A medical certificate must be provided if a student cannot participate in swimming
classes for medical reasons. Alternative practical activities will be assigned to the student.
