content labeling
If all or part of a product is made of non-leather material that
appears to be leather, the non-leather material must be
disclosed on a tag, label, or card attached to the product. The
Labeling review: leather 16 CFR 24 1 disclosure must be of such conspicuousness and clarity as to be
noted by consumers casually inspecting the product.
NOTE: A material that contains ground, pulverized, shredded,
reconstituted or bonded leather cannot be represented as being
wholly leather. Adequate disclosure of these materials, per 16
CFR 24, must be present.
