TLC's Rotary Attachment

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add tension bolts and
tension arm bolt.
6 x 8mm (M3)
These holes are not threaded, but are
sized so you can bolt
them directly into the holes. Don't
thread these all the way in, us the
small tension arm to "measure" how
deep to install the bolts.

2. Attach large idle wheel

1 x 16mm (M5)
2 x washer (M5)
1 x Large idler with O-ring
Put the O-ring into the slot of the large
idler (make sure the O-ring is not
twisted). Attach everything to the
threaded hole opposite the small
bolts.

3. Attach motor
2 x 8mm (M3)
1 x Nema 17 motor
Loosely attach nema 17 motor. Adjust
so that the drive gear attached to the
motor shaft has good contact with the
O-ring (don't make this too tight), and
tighten top bolt first.

4. Attach idler
1 x 16mm (M3)
3 x washer (M3)
2 x nut (M3)
1 x small wheel with O-ring
Put the O-ring onto the small idler.
When assembling idler to bolt, finger
tighten the bare nut (this nut is a
spacer).
5. Slider lift idlers
2 x 16mm (M3)
6 x washer (M3)
4 x nut (M3)
2 x small wheel / O-ring
Same as step 4, but you get to do it
twice!

6. Attach idler lift to slide

2 x 10mm hex-top (M5)
2 x washer (M5)
Attach to the threaded holes on the
slide.

7. Assemble tension arm

3 x 8mm (M3)
1 x washer (M3)
1 x small idler/O-ring
1 x 30mm (M5)
2 x washer (M5)
When assembling make sure to
install idler wheel so that it will be on
the inside of the finished machine.
The 30mm M5 bolt will extend out of
the machine and acts as an leaver to
take off tension when removing
glassware.

8. Attach rails to drive plate

2 x 10mm (M5)
2 x rails

Bolt rails on to drive plate, but don't

tighten all the way down.
9. Back plate and T-slot nuts
2 x 10mm (M5)
2 x T-slot nuts
Slide the T-slot nuts into the top of
the rails. Loosely attach the back
plate with the bolts.
Hold down the rails to a flat table and
tighten the 4 bolts. This is to prevent
the rails from rotating.

10. Attach slider to T-slots

2 x 10mm hex-top (M5)

2 x washer (M5)

Line up the T-slot nuts and attach the

slider.

11. Put on tension arm

1 x tension arm assembly
1 x large O-ring
Most glassware will work with the
tension arm at its max length. Adjust
tension with the O-ring on different
bolts. This will take a little fiddling for
each new glass.
Rubber bands can also be used in
place of the O-ring.
