Fairy tales are usually symbolic of something deeper

than magic or fanciful beings.

But since I moved from California to Germany, I do see

real things that must have inspired the stories. In creeks
in the Black Forest, grows a variety of very long moss
which sways gracefully in the current. My German wife
has called it “fairy hair” since she was little. In late
spring, it sprouts little white flowers straight up out of
the water, which also dance with the current. A
particular insect visits the flowers. It has four wings like
a damsel fly or bluebottle, but it flutters them quietly
like a butterfly. Half or two-thirds of each wing is
transparent, but is tipped in blue-green. They fly about
those flowers in groups, but are very shy so we can
never get a good photo, or even a good look. My wife
and I call them fairies, even though we have never got
close enough to verify whether their bodies look
human.

Fairy tales, as traditional stories featuring magical

elements and moral lessons, don't exist in real life in the
literal sense. However, they often reflect deep truths
about human nature, societal values, and the
complexities of life. Here are a few points to consider:

1. Symbolism and Morality: Fairy tales often

symbolize human experiences, such as love,
loss, bravery, and redemption. They convey
moral lessons, illustrating the consequences of
actions and the importance of virtues like
kindness and courage.

2. Cultural Reflection: These stories can serve

Fairy tales are based on eiter old events that were
decorated while retold for many generations, or on
moral stories meant to teach the auditory something.

What attracts my attention are the magic fairy tales

about time travel, instant teleportation, very strong

I think of fairy tales as sweet stories which focus on
human emotions. There is often a sprinkling of
randomness or coincidence in these tales. There is a
sense of the universe conspiring to help the
protagonists in their endeavors.

So yes, fairy tales exist in real life. They exist in random

moments of kindness. They exist in the time when long
held aspirations come to fruition. They exist in the
intentions of all living beings.

“Do fairytales exist or are a fallacy?”

This question is ambiguous, but I think I know what is

being asked. First, I’ll answer the question as asked:
Yes, fairy tales exist. I have an entire collection of them
in my library. One can find them at the local public
library. One can purchase them from various
bookstores and online.

Now, I think what is being asked is if fairy tales are true

and the answer to that is, NO. They are not true. They

Related If "fairy tales" aren’t real, then where did
the whole concept of "fairies" come from?
I believe the origin of “fairies” came from a naturally
occurring phenomenon which later became known as
“fairy rings” or “fairy circles”.

In a process that I won’t get into in depth here,

mushrooms and other kinds of fungus can initially form
a small ring in the ground. The the fungus flesh dies off
and is broken down back into the soil, a new living
colony of fungus forms outside of that previous ring.
This creates a ring of mushrooms that tends to expand
over time.

The original “fairytales” were dark as all hell. The

“disney” versions of them are a relatively modern
phenomenon and most are barely even a poor echo of
the originals that they were based on.

And yes, they were created as a reflection of certain

aspects of human nature, but more the darker aspects.

they a fallacy?
It depends what the fairytale is. The mystical story of
invisible beings (that are not “life” as we know it) that
can enter your body and control the operations of that
body against your will before spreading throughout a
household and community causing suffering and even
death is quite true.

They're called Viruses.

Truth is often decided by the terms we use, isn't it?

Fairy tales, and other such tales reside in the context of
folklore, and folklore exists as a way of passing down
knowledge from generation to generation for thousands
of years. Mythology is a bit more formalized but was
also a way of transmitting knowledge from generation

Of course fairy tales are real. How else would we know
of their existence? As to their veracity, that is another
matter. It depends on your belief system. There are
those who claim any organized religion is a collection of
fairy tales while there are others who are strong
practitioners of whatever faith they follow. There are
those who believe in leprechauns and elves and others
who do not. Its up to the individual.

fairy tales existed?
Possibly, but maybe not specifically. It’s possible a little
girl in red went through a forest to visit her
grandmother, saw a wolf who followed her and was
killed by a huntsman.

What didn’t happen is the wolf beat her to her

grandmother’s house (right. A little old lady lives alone
in the woods. Sure.) Then eats grandma, whole mind
you, and dresses in her clothes. While the little girl sees
her grandmother but with big eyes, ears and teeth. And
not under any circumstances a freaking wolf. Who ate
her too, whole again, and then was killed by the
huntsman. Oh, and the wolf was talking, too.
