Warnings
The noise reduction will be adversely affected by
anything that impairs the seal of the earmuff cushions
against the head, ie. : hair above ears, thick spectacle
frames, balaclavas,... we recommend to remove them to
get the best protection.

The reported attenuation will be obtained only if the protector is in good condition and
worn as directed.
Some chemicals may have a negative effect on this product. It’s recommended to ask
the manufacturer for more information.
The adaptation of hygienic protections on the ear cups can affect the acoustic
performance of the headset.
The output of the audio circuit of this noise protector may exceed the daily limit of the
sound level.
Remember that wearing hearing protectors can reduce noises such as screaming
warning, alarms or other important signals. The user must pay attention to its
surroundings.

Guidelines
Adjustments and maintenance should be done according to manufacturer
instructions.
Headset must be worn permanently in a noisy environment.
The Airlink 3085IA wireless headset can deteriorate with use, it is therefore advised
to inspect them at regular intervals in order to detect any cracks or leaks, for
example .
This headset is equipped with an audio-electric input device. The user should verify
that it works properly before using it. If the user notices a distortion or a defect,
he/she should refer to the manufacturer's instructions.

Product description
The Globalsys Airlink 3085IA wireless headset is designed to protect against harmful
noise and to communicate with an aircraft wirelessly trough an AirLink base station.
This user information is applicable for all versions.
To ensure you get the best comfort, fit and function out of the product, it is
important to read the instructions carefully and save them for future reference.
Please refer to the attenuation table for further details on noise reduction.
Make sure to choose the correct product for your application.

Note :
This headset is only designed for on ground applications and not for use in the aircraft
flightdeck

Approvals
The Airlink 3085IA wireless headset meets the Essential Health and Safety
Requirements as laid out in Annex II of the PPEregulation (EU) 2016/425. CE marking
is in accordance with EN352-1:2002 and EN352- 6:2002. This headset is approved and
also monitored acc. to module C2 by PZT (NB1974), GmbH Bismarckstr. 264B, 26389
Wilhelmshaven, Germany.

This product conforms to FCC Part 15 standards (CFR 47 FCC PART 15). Compliance
with FCC regulations ensures that this device has been tested and meets the limits
for Class B digital devices.

Storage
When the hearing protector is not in use, store it in such a way that the headband is
not stretched and the cushions are not compressed. Keep the hearing protectors dry
and clean, store them at normal room temperature and do not place them in direct
sunlight.

Maintenance
Clean and disinfect the cups, ear pads and inserts with mild soap and water only.
This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further
information should be sought from the manufacturer. Hearing protectors and ear
pads in particular may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent
intervals for cracking and leakage, for example at the start of every working shift.
Equipment lifetime depends of environment, type of usage and correct use.
Exposure to extreme weather conditions can impact on headset lifetime, ie.
prolonged exposure to the sun or contaminants in the environment.

sight).

The cushions and inserts are replaceable. Always replace worn or damaged parts.

Remove the ear pads by pulling it Replace the old internal foam and

Use only hygiene kits from the manufacturer, consisting of one pair of ear pads, one
pair of foam and one microphone foam. A replacement of the hygiene kitis
recommanded for at least twice a year for standard use to ensure that the noise
attenuation performances are maintained. The fitting of hygiene covers to internal
foams may affect the acoustic performance of the hearing protectors. For order
reference, please refer to spare parts list above.

General fitting instructions
Before following the fitting instructions below, brush excess hair aside and remove any ear
jewellery that could affect acoustic seal. The cushions should form a snug fit against the
head with no interference of the seal by any objects, e.g. respirator headbands or
spectacles arms, and that the cups completely enclose the ears.

1- Make sure to put the headband the right LEFT RIGHT

With the headband over the head, adjust the


height of the cups by sliding them up or down, so
they completely enclose the ears.

3- Adjusting the microphone

“TALK” inscription must be turned to mouth side.
