I.Introduction to Taiyuan University of Technology
Founded in 1902,TYUT is one of the first three national universities in China, it is located in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province,
which is a famous historical city with a 2,500 years old history of urban construction and traditional Chinese culture. Taiyuan has a pleasant
climate all year round, convenient transportation and low living costs, making it an ideal city for international students to study in China.
TYUT is a national "211 Project" and "double first-class" key construction university. Engineering Science, Materials Science and Chemistry
consistently rank in the top 1% of ESI. Multiple disciplines are open to international students, including science, engineering, economics, law,
education, literature, management, and fine arts.TYUT began to enroll international students in the early 1980s. More than 2,000 international
students from almost 100 countries and regions have come to study here. Its cultivation capacity ranks first in Shanxi province.
In 2025, 34 majors in 19 colleges of Taiyuan University of Technology will recruit international students from all over the world. It now has a
multi-level education system that includes academic education for undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students, and non-academic
education for language learning and Foundation education. TYUT has passed the Quality Accreditation on Higher Education of International
Students Studying in China twice, in 2018 and 2024.
Against the backdrop of profound historical and cultural accumulations, Taiyuan University of Technology not only offers international
students opportunities to learn Chinese and understand traditional Chinese culture, but also provides a comprehensive scientific research and
study platform, helping international students in China become international talents with global competence.
II. Application Requirements
1. Undergraduate students

Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, with no history of major diseases, infectious diseases or mental illnesses.
With a high school diploma or an equivalent educational level, aged between 18 and 25 years old.
Those applying for Chinese - taught programs must reach Level 4 of the New Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK4 - 200 points or above).CSC
Scholarship Candidates need HSK5.
Those applying for English - taught programs need to have an English proficiency level of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85 or Duolingo 110 and above, or
be native English speakers.
High school graduation scores should be no less than 7.5 (out of 10), or 75 (out of 100), or 12 (out of 20). Status and Nationality requirements

2. Master's Degree Candidates

Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, with no history of major diseases, infectious diseases or mental illnesses.
With a bachelor's degree and being no more than 30 years old.
Those applying for programs taught in Chinese must reach level 4 of the New Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK4 - 200 points or above).
Those applying for programs taught in English need to have an IELTS score of 6.0(CSC Scholarship candidates need it) or a TOEFL score of
85(CSC Scholarship candidates need it) or Duolingo 110, or be native English speakers.
The GPA score is not lower than 3.2 (MAX 4.0) or 12 (MAX 20).
Participate in the supervisor's interview and obtain the supervisor's invitation letter.
3. Doctoral Candidates

Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, with no history of major diseases, infectious diseases or mental illnesses.
With a master's degree and being no more than 35 years old.
Those applying for programs taught in Chinese must reach Level 4 of the New Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK4-200 points or above).
Those applying for programs taught in English need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 (CSC Scholarship candidates need it) or a TOEFL
score of 85(CSC Scholarship candidates need it) or Duolingo 110 or be native English speakers.
The GPA score is not lower than 3.2 (MAX 4.0) or 12 (MAX 20).
Participate in the supervisor's interview and obtain the supervisor's invitation letter.

4. Preparatory Foundation Students

Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, with no history of major diseases, infectious diseases or mental illnesses.
It includes undergraduate preparatory students, master's preparatory students and doctoral preparatory students. The academic and age requirements are the
same as those for recruiting undergraduates, master's students and doctoral students.
The English proficiency needs to reach IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85 or Duolingo 110 or above, or be native speakers of English.
The GPA score is not lower than 3.2 (MAX 4.0) or 12 (MAX 20).

Students applying for the CSC Scholarship for High-level Postgraduate Programs who choose English-taught courses must have an English proficiency level of
at least IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85. Other scholarship programs may accept Duolingo scores, with a requirement of 110 points. Before the funding period expires,
apply in advance for the scholarship for the following year.

Undergraduate students enrolled in English-taught programs who achieve a score of 200 on the HSK Level 3 during their first academic year and an average
grade of 80 in that year may receive the TYUT C Scholarship in their second year, with a funding period of 10 months.

Master's and doctoral students who receive the TYUT D Scholarship, upon completing the first semester's courses and passing the professional assessment by
their supervisors and the scholarship review, may apply for the Shanxi Government Scholarship for the second semester. If they fail to meet the supervisors'
requirements, they will not be able to continue their studies at our university in the second semester.

 V. Admissions Process and Application Materials

Admission Process
Step 1: Log in to the admission portal website of Taiyuan University of Technology (http://is.tyut.edu.cn), create a username and log in to the system to
complete the entry of personal application information and upload relevant materials.
Step 2: The applicants for undergraduate programs must undergo a preliminary review and pass the Ministry of Education's undergraduate academic
proficiency test;
The applicants for Master/PhD programs are required to reach out to potential supervisors for interviews assessing their professional abilities. Upon
aggrement form the supervisor to accept you for a master's or doctoral degree, they will issue you an invitation letter and a supervisor evaluation form,which
you will then upload to the school's admission portal.
Step 3: Please settle the registration fee of 400 RMB through WeChat Pay and submit the payment receipt to our admission portal.The payment QR code is
displayed the figure below.
Step 4: Receive the pre-admission notice.
Step 6: Receive the JW201 form or JW202 form and the official admission notice.
Step 7: Apply for a visa at the local Chinese embassy.
Step 8: Contact us to confirm your arrival date and finish the payment of your insurance .
Step 9: Please bring the original copies of your passport, degree certificate, transcript of the highest educational attainment, physical examination form, and
language proficiency certificate, etc. to register at our school within the specified time. .

When you receive our email asking you to pay the registration fee, please pay the
registration fee within one week. Please indicate your application number and the
purpose of the remittance in the remittance instructions. After the registration fee is
successfully paid, please upload the payment screenshot to the system.
Application Materials:
All application materials are required to be scanned in high - definition as original documents. Copies are not accepted. If it is found that there are fraudulent
situations in the application materials, the application qualification will be cancelled and recorded in the blacklist of the enrollment system.

一、太原理工大学简介
太原理工大学始建于 1902 年，是中国最早的三所国立大学之一，坐落于历史名城山西太原市，拥有 2500 年的城市建设历史和悠久的中国传统文化。太原一

二、申请要求
1. 本科生
非中国籍公民，身心健康，无重大疾病、传染病和精神疾病史。
具有高中毕业证书或同等学历，年龄在 18 至 25 岁之间。
申请汉语授课项目的学生必须达到新汉语水平考试四级（HSK4 - 200 分以上）。申请中国政府奖学金的候选人汉语要求通过 HSK5 级。
申请英语授课课程的学生需要具备雅思 6.0 或托福 80 或多邻国 110 以上的英语水平，或者以英语为母语。
高中毕业成绩不低于 7.5 分（满分 10 分），或 75 分（满分 100 分），或 12 分（满分 20 分）。

2.硕士研究生
非中国籍公民，身心健康，无重大疾病、传染病和精神疾病史。
已经获得学士学位，年龄不超过 30 岁。
申请汉语授课项目的学生必须达到新汉语水平考试四级（HSK4 - 200 分以上）。
申请以英语授课的项目，要求雅思成绩 6.0 分（CSC 奖学金申请者要求）或托福成绩 85 分（CSC 奖学金申请者要求）或多邻国成绩 110 分，或以英语为母语。

申请 CSC 奖学金高水平研究生项目的学生如选择英文授课，则英语水平需要达到雅思 6.0 及以上或是托福 85 分及以上英语成绩。其它奖学金项目
可以提供多邻国成绩，达到 110 分。资助期限到期前，提前申请下一年度的奖学金。
英文授课本科生入学第一学年期间通过 HSK3 级达到 200 分并且第一学年平均成绩达到 80 分者可在第二学年获得太理 C 奖学金，资助时段 10 个月。
获得太理 D 奖学金的硕士和博士生在完成第一学期课程并通过导师专业评估及奖学金评审后可在第二学期申请来晋政府奖学金。如未能达到导师要

五、招生流程及申请材料

招生流程
第一步：登录太原理工大学招生门户网站（http://is.tyut.edu.cn），创建用户名，登录系统，完成个人申请信息的录入和相关材料的上传。

第二步：本科专业申请者必须经过初审，并通过教育部本科学术水平测试；

申请硕士/博士课程的学生需要与潜在的导师进行面试，以评估他们的专业能力。在导师同意接受你的硕士或博士学位后，他们会给你发一封邀请函和一

份导师评估表，然后你将其上传到学校的入学门户网站。

第三步：请通过微信 Pay 结算报名费 400 元人民币，并将付款收据提交到招生门户。支付二维码如下图所示。

第四步：收到预录取通知。

第六步：收到 JW201 表或 JW202 表和正式录取通知书。

第七步：到当地的中国大使馆申请签证。

第八步：联系我们确认您的到达日期并完成您的保险支付。

第九步：请在规定时间内携带护照、学位证书、最高学历成绩单、体格检查表、语言能力证书等原件到我校报到。

当您收到我们要求您支付注册费的邮件时，请在一周内支付注册费。请在汇款指示中注明
您的申请号码及汇款用途。注册费用支付成功后，请将付款截图上传至系统。
