thousands of Civil Services aspirants was founded in 2004. The
academy which was nothing but a gleam in the eye of Mr. Shankar D,
a postgraduate in agriculture (also a UPSC aspirant who qualified for an
interview twice), has evolved over the years to the extent of successfully
helping 2400+ candidates realise their dream of becoming a bureaucrat and
guiding thousands of others to realise their potential.

We take pride in having successfully contributed to nation-building albeit, in a small way.

'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a
lifetime.' Our highly qualified and experienced faculty, aid the candidates not just by
giving their best atthe prestigious Civil Services Examination, but also by preparing them
to face real-life challenges. The heights that our cherished students have scaled stand
testimony to our pedagogy. We are the go-to institute for TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Services
Commission), SSC (Staff Selection Commission), and Banking exams conducted across India.
This is apart from our UPSC exam coaching.

The institute was an instant hit among the student fraternity and the results started speaking for
themselves. We forayed into dedicated coaching for Indian Forest services as well in 2011 and our then
branch at Adyar, Chennai steadily diversified into training for Tamil Nadu PSC, Banking and SSC by
2015.

With repeated appeals from students and aspirants from neighbouring states to establish branches there as
well, in 2016, Shankar IAS Academy established its branches in Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, and Delhi
in 2019. Subsequently, to also reach out to students from other parts of Tamil Nadu we set up our offices in
Salem, Madurai, Coimbatore, Namakkal and Thiruvarur.
